I refuse to tell my children that santa claus is real. I plan on raising them with the knowlege of the factual existence of aliens, fairies, and bigfoots. Lying to them about something fictional all the while telling them at the same time that what most people deem fictional is infact real- is a total mindfudge to them and their psyche. I dont give a crap what other people say to me. Its my child- not theirs.

I've never believe or "make-to-believe" in Santa ever since I was kid......and I still have a very happy childhood memory. I seriously don't know why or how.......but I've never believe in a magical being givng gifts to children. Maybe that because I grew up reading comic book (superman and manga) AND E.T, pyramid....so there has never been a place for Santa in my mind.

A fully agree that christmas has been comercialised and we are almost forced to spend ridiculous amounts on presents most people probably don't need or desire..

It always amazes me how people put blame on someone else. Whether it be television and video games corrupting kids minds to fast food corrupting diets.

Mr Mask how about YOU be a little responsible about your money?? Who MAKES you spend?? Because YOU don't want to be judged by others. I grew under the mendoza line of blue collar, yet my parents (until I was about 7) were able to get one or two gifts that made the holiday fantastic. YOU are focusing on all the negative as opposed of making the Holiday joyous, looking at what Santa Claus can be in a positive light. (giving, watching out for the good, ect)

For anyone who blames the "Corporations" for MAKING them spend, well then you must be REALLY weak minded to be controlled so easily.

Who is they? How do you come up with Satan worship with giving and good will to all men? That is the basis of Santa Claus.

Mr Masky...I understand where you are coming from. I admit...I participate in the "lie"...I don't know why except that I know that at the age my kids are right now they wouldn't understand why us adults have pretended that Santa is real. They are too young to grasp abstract concepts and such...and since the lie has already started...I'm afraid I am going to continue it until they are at an age that they will understand. Even if it hadn't started already in my house hold...even after thinking about it now I still think I would participate in the "Santa lie".

I personally see no harm in it...I don't look back at my childhood and resent my parents because they "lied" to me about Santa. Do I like "lying" to my kids...no...but let's face it...it isn't the only time we lie to our kids.



p.s. - Everytime I read your threads now...I hear your voice from your comics. Which by the way...this thread would make an excellent comic. Maybe I can get Santa into forcing you to turn this into a comic...I think I'll write him now.

Look into the myths of santa and you will find the same things said of satan, who is what they worship. Remember they look upto him, so there idea of that entity is different than the one we think.

Lots of people...but I tend to blame the Federal Reserve and the corrupt system put in place to keep us enslaved...again, why do you ask? Was this thread about spending?

Satanic idols and worship of greed are joyous to some...I admit...but to me, the entire thing stinks to high heaven and a half. Sorry buddy...you may be able to look at what Christmas became and smile due to a few presents you may have gotten in the past, or a couple cups of hot coco...me? Well I think Santa should be outlawed...along with the consumerism that the holiday attached to him has plainly become.

Let me make it clear what I take from your original Post. That the idea of Santa Claus has perverted what Christmas is supposed to mean. That you don't see a reason for spending your hard earned money. That the governement has put you in a bad place that you can't get out of.

Is this right? If not how about putting it in laymens terms for me.

He is trying to aware you that there is hundreds of years worth of evidence to suggest that Santa and Satan are related in more ways then your aware of.

You see...there are Santa researchers (weird, I know, but its true) and there has been books written by historians on the subject all over the place. Some of them suggest that Santa is a symbol for Satan...

Now you may roll your eyes there....but while you do that meaningless motion, let me ask you-

"how does Saint Nicholas" even begin to translate to the word Santa?

Look...I'm not saying I support the people who say Santa is connected to the symbolism of Satan, Thor, Norse Gods or the like...but just know there are dozens and dozens of researchers who spent a very long time researching the evidence to suggest this, and they did it without "jumping to conclusions without looking for factual evidence first"...kinda like your doing when you just say "Santa means good things".

But...just so you know...if you research Santa, his origins, his garb, his name, his history and his "meaning", you will eventually come to see that it is very possible (even likely) that he is indeed connected in one way or another to Thor, Satan, Norse Gods of all sorts and a few other things that don't just say "MERRY CHRISTMAS"!

I'll tell ya one guy Santa has NOTHING to do with...Jesus...prolly why he craps all over his fictional birth date every year.

The word thye, means the ptb. Forget all religions as far as i am concerned on earth, there is one thing that all the ptb in all countries do, and i think they take part in satanism.

Ok there idea of what they do, and who they look upot, may in there mind rationalise it as a being or entity that is good. Funny when you hear they think they are freeing man of gods shackles. They think without satan we would be just dumb animals, and the awakening was down to satan.

What I'm saying is evil men are using an evil false idol to swindle innocent folks, and that the history of Santa has evolved him somehow into a monster.

For one reason or another, no matter which story/legend one might subscribe to, they are fraught with exaggeration and fiction. Santa, enough said...

Even if some grain of truth did reside and any of those ideas, so much time has passed and those ideas have become distorted.
Christmas itself has become so disgusting I can barely stand it anymore.
I will never lie to my kids about the holidays, just as I was never lied to.
It's just a story and should be taken as such, but people use that story because they are deluded and want their kids to be like them and carry on a tradition of delusion and psychosis.

I choose to show my love for my family by supporting them in every way I can, all year long.
That includes being honest with them.

Santa, who's that?

Don't get me wrong, I have very great memories of Christmas when I was a kid, most of which involved the family all coming together, eating, and caring on.
It's a nice thing to have a special day and it is fun to get gifts.
Seriously, who could argue with that, but remember what's important, Family.
They are the gifts.

Commercialization caters to the flock, and it's your choice to be part of that or not.

We realize that the family is what's important and barely waste any time or money on excessive gifts for one another. We have never been like that.
Most of the gifts we give or get are consumables and or something useful or hand made.
Which is what the Christmas tradition started as anyways, at least with our family.

So stay true, and enjoy the holidays as a time to be with the best gift of all. A FAMILY.

I'm dodging the question right now...my boy is only 6...meaning its only been two Christmases where the adorable little booger could actually "ask real questions" without me shaking car keys or throwing a toy across the room to change the subject...

I dunno...honestly, I'm thinking I'm gunna bust Santa and turn him in as the fraud he is...my son's mom will not enjoy that...nor will his grandparents...but hey...screw them...SANTA NEEDS TO BE PUT IN HIS PLACE!

I can't speak for the future...but I can honestly say that if I end up lying to my boy about Santa it will be the first lie I have ever told him. I'm really shooting for "never lying to the lad"...but like I said, I can't speak for the future, and it would be naive for me to assume I can keep total honesty with him until he is an adult...
