Wheelchair-Bound Airline Passenger, Strips To Lingerie For TSA Patdown (VIDEO)

Banovac tried to get through security twice, the first time in a trench-coat, but stripped down to get through security faster to make her flight to Phoenix. Fellow passengers quickly saw what she was doing and captured the event on YouTube. Banovac is seen in the video wearing only lingerie, pearls and has a white dog on her lap.

An airport spokeswoman told a CBS affiliate that Banovac refused to go through the metal detector after she had stripped down (which is clear considering her placement in the security area). TSA agents said they found traces of nitrate residue on her body.

Uhhhh....I really don't know what to say. She choose to not go through the scanner, and choose to be stripped down and searched. Reading some of the comments, which most are immature, some mentioned she wanted attention.

Whether she did or not, why must they do the search in front of everyone?

Personally i think she did it to show off/ get attention, she probably did it of her own accord + she doesnt seem that concerned thats shes exposed...silly woman

I believe she either wants attention or is doing it to be funny. If you were in a wheel chair wouldnt you just go through the metal detector? The comments on the video dissapoint me too.

Actually she looks creepy to me...she has no facial expressions and is petting that dog. Her head moves wierd and I don't think she blinks when she looks at the camera man...I think the woman did it for the attention, if in fact she is a woman and not a cyborg robot or something.

She CHOSE to be stripped down and searched. Not sure why they did this in a public area though unless she insisted.

She also had an unsecured pet (airline policy for ALL airlines is that pets must be in carry ons) and they found traces of nitrates?

Sounds like she's looking for attention.

On a closer inspection, her eyes don't look real and some of her movements don't either ... Somewhat robotic!

I wonder how people in wheelchairs can manage to stay in such good shape?
Most I see either get overweight or turn into skeletons.
I agree her expressions are very creepy.

Nitrates?
It was probably from some shampoo she put on her dog.
I think the TSA boys just wanted to make her park there a while so they could ogle her.
Their jobs have to be awfully boring.

There are so many sources of nitrates other then explosives that the test is bogus most of the time.
But it does get the TSA a chance to give someone a good going over.
I have a couple pair of work boots that have explosives on them from my mining days.

Sources of nitrates
Gun powder residue
Lawn fertilizer
Nitrates in medicines (if you take these you can even sweat nitrates.)
Decaying plant debris
Animal droppings
Agricultural sources

Sure she 'wanted attention'. Sheesh. This was a form of protest, that's sort of the point.

As far as speculation about her mental abilities that is just obtuse, mean spirited, and declasse. There is no way to know from the video.

I think this woman was brave, and I applaud what she did. I won't bother speculating about the purity of her motivation.

Traces of nitrate...? I'm highly speculative. Seems awfully convenient.

To everyone making fun of her looks and mental capacities, I say she has more BALLS than you men and I would even venture a guess that in any other social setting you would most defiantly want to see exactly what she is showing there.

People just hustled past hoping not to get stopped or stripped...... sad that people will allow this treatment to others, but just so long as its not you (yet).

Crazy how much her movements and appearance resembled the recent robot videos. I'd nearly wager money. AND she refused the metal detectors. I wonder if this wasn't a "test" of a robot. It would explain the wheelchair, the movements, the refusal to go through the scanners...just really strange

Edited to add that her legs definitely look human. Just don't know what to think of that video.

I wonder who actually removed her clothes considering she is in a wheel chair, so I'm assuming she is disabled in some way.

I felt creeped out watching her movements. Her eyes and mouth and the way her head bobs from left to right was really... creepy. No other word for it. Is she real?

I was jumping in the thread, sorry I used your comment to do it (no assault intended) and yes I think from here facial expression humiliation at how she is being treated and regret for the choice to do it????

Either way I am just stunned absolutely stunned at the complete disregard people show someone who is trying to stand up for their RIGHTS ...... I really see this as a statement to everyone who passed by her and said NOTHING to the TSA GASTAPO ....... they are truly sheep and deserve to be treated exacly the way they are.

Not an ounce of compassion or balls for fear of getting arrested or OH MY GOOD INCONVENIENCED!!!!

Some idiot was stressed about getting his phone so he could take pictures to jerk off too.....
