so what? really .. if they arrest him, nothing is going to change, he doesnt know who provide them documents, simply because its freaking POLICY, nobody sends these things in their own email and name

the only way for him to found out would be if he wanted to track that person before to make sure the documents were valid

and really ... if they did take down him, nothing is going to change and a an script may run and release password to those files or something else

and its not like its assange doing everything ... its a lot of people and if he goes down, others will stand

thats what happens every time on the internet if you know it

so i'm new to this site but i haven't seen anything on here about this yet..
i was searching through cryptome.org and i saw this on there first and did a search and found this article.
just wanted to share this with you guys.
i find it interesting becasue i myself was questioning the credibility of wikileaks, for the sole reason that it was played by the media, and i figured if the media is talking about it then it's gotta be disinfo, but idk this changes my perspective a little. mainly cause it took them so little time to capture the guy.

Assange captured

nerdynerdnerdz.com

Reports are surfacing that Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has been caught outside of Southeast England at an undisclosed safe-house. My contact also states that authorities have him in custody but are trying to persuade him to turn in several hackers who released highly top secret files onto the wikileaks site. Sources also indicated that the sexual assault charges are false charges generated by the government in an attempted and well executed smear campaign on Julian Assange and his website Wikileaks.

Assange == classic CIA patsy/shill.

"manipulatively controlled (Wiki)leaks" is just another theater play to get the masses into WAR-WAR-WAR mode by scaring them with so-called "terrorists" and "north korean military aggression". The NWO/Builderbergs want to war with China and they are using wiki-ganda as a conditioning tool to scare people into compliance.

The funny thing that none of them seems to get is that Assange doesnt matter. Wikileaks is a group of people, Assange is just the front man who's taking the heat, and doing an amazing job of it since they dont seem to know anyone else even exists, let alone who they are, let alone making up ridiculous charges to arrest and torture/murder them.

Whatever happens to Assange, it wont effect wikileaks beyond them stepping up to release more damaging info

It appears fairly certain that he has not been captured, unless we are willing to believe that such a thing would

a) not be plastered all over the MSM as a huge "win" for the forces of "good."

or

b) We wouldn't be told so the authorities would be free to treat him however they pleased.

This does NOT mean that the OP is a HOAXER, quite the contrary, it means that the OP was quick-witted enough to know to bring it here so we could chase down the facts.

Again, while HOAX is a wonderful way to categorize unpleasant or misleading information, we cannot deny the value of identifying who propagates such HOAXES (Sweden?) that we may then determine reasonably WHY it would be done.

Before we call for information to be discarded as a HOAX, we should remember that the SOURCE of a hoax is the single most important piece of information to have AFTER you determine it is a HOAX.....

So... having said that.... WHY would the porsecutorial branch of the Swedish justice department engage in such a release of information? To what end? Any ideas?

True, but IMO they REALLY want to get Assange, and if he gets taken into custody I expect he will end up on trail in the USA,even if they have to make a new law or two to get him to trail.
Just for exposing what Hilary was getting up to at the UN...let alone the other stuff.

Anyhow,I think other media outlets would be all over this by now if it was true,so I am not sure hes been caught yet.

well if he waves his rights for extradition they could have him on a plane to the swedes within 48hours if noone else tries to stop it. england doesnt have warrant on him, so they would just wave it and send him on his way, and as far as any other thing?, they would have to prove that he was the one who gathered the info. hes really not bound by other countries secret laws. he was never caught tampering.

I think that the US Military feels a bit slighted (slapped in the face)
The uproar from the Govt over the release of "embarrassing" gossip from them, far outweighs the uproar created after the apache gunship video or the afghan war diaries.
A little more evidence that the civvy govt and the Pentagon dont have that great of a relationship these days.

True, the person who created the thread is not a hoaxer; the source (Cryptome->nerdynerdnerdz) got it's information from an article on Aklagare.se that appears to be outdated by over 2 weeks.
The article when translated reads:

Julian Assange has been detained in his absence charged with rape, sexual molestation and unlawful coercion. Mr Assange had appealed the detention decision issued by Svea Court of Appeal.

"Detained in his absence" has no meaning. In fact here is a Tweet from November 18th from a user named "cornellouis" Tweet.
If you browse his Twitter, you can see he is a big fan of Wikileaks, therefor the date of the original article is over 2 weeks old.

Yeah very much so, it helps to find out who which let's you ask why.

.

This new "Assange captured" rumor is based on old news, news from a site that hires editors who do not know correct law terminology and make it look like Assange was detained, when he was not even there at the time the source wrote that article.

I guess they were wanting to calm the masses, confuse enemies, and sell something lol

I really appreciate the research and explanation. "Detained in absentia" is a silly turn of phrase. It's sort of like "he was declared guilty by some guys in a pub." and then the article title reads "Assange found guilty!"

Which shouldn't detract from one wise poster who pointed out that the 'person' is not the issue. Assange is not the end-all-be-all of the case.

Politicians and their ilk use this tactic often..., when you can't handle the information... kill the messenger.

Which makes one wonder who exactly is generating all this buzz....

denv is right the source cited is out of date and all the news wires have nothing of this....

Assange is not captured.

If he was arrested it would not surprise me one bit that he is "suicided" in the next week while in custody.

I hope he is able to release the insurance password

When this punk is captured, I'm all for a little water-boarding to get the names of his co-conspirators. Hopefully someone grabs this douche and we the people don't here about it for 3 or 4 weeks. That'll give him time to heal up.

The translation might have been skewed from whatever language it began in.. (swiss)?
It may have meant convicted in absentia or some kind of judgment has been
made in the courts and the defendant was not present for whatever reason.

if your name implies anything i'd take it your a glenn beck fan?

i'm sorry but i have to disagree with that last statement. While i'm on the fence even moreso now, because he may NOT of been detained, that does not change the fact that i truly believe systems such as, what wikileaks claims to be, should be in place in order to keep the checks and balances of all nations. i think secrecy has no place in governments. regardless of the situation.

IF wikileaks is legit and not an inside job.

I find this interesting in light of the statement of future releases regarding a "big bank"

However I still find it way to convenient as a way to control free speech on the internet!
