I know that this may be a couple of days after the event, but did anyone else watch Barça's demolition of Real on Monday night ?

The Barcelona performance illustrates how sport meets - and supersedes - art.

Can anyone genuinely say that they haven't seen anything as artistically or as aesthetically pleasing as the highlights of the Clásico that I've just posted ?

Visca el Barca som els millors! Forza Barca!
That said, S&F.
It will never get old, never.
We played superior to Madrid in every way.
They were humiliated and im glad!
Barcelona is loving it hehe, I spent all day chatting about football today (how sad).
Shame Messi didnt score, but he played one of the best games that ive seen.
Xavi deserved that goal and I was happy it was him.
Overall it was a massacre.
Amunt el Barca!

Come on you Barça !

I highly recommend watching the highlights with the sound turned down...

I think that Barça's style of football transcends art, and they gave a show of how the beautiful game should be played on Monday night.

''Who needs Mourinho... ?''..

Messi's pass, playing in Villa for the fourth goal... Have you ever seen a better ball played in ?

Nice one, mate.

I suppose that residents of Barcelona get a bit blasé about FC Barcelona's exploits...

But have you ever seen a side who can pass the ball around like this current Barça side ?

The passing, skill and the "Jogo Bonito" ethos of Barcelona is something that is respected throughout the world...

The way they played against Madrid, no, I havent seen anyone play like that for a while.
People are happy with the football been played by the team and thats good.
I believe Pep Guardiola is the man behind the stability of the success at Barca.
Barca been playing well for a while now. I think we should've won last year's champions league cup, Inter were lucky.
The success at Barca is also due to the style of football taught at the academy 'La Masia'

Beutiful, just beutiful lol
Im a Man Utd fan at heart really, but Barca is my second team, I live here my girl is from here my family is from here also so...but I remember on champions league when Paul Scholes scored the cracker against Barca I couldnt hold it in and I was jumping and shouting in between all the Barca supporters lol

Anyways love Barca. lol

For a while ?

What other teams have you seen play that well ?

I remember AC Milan in the early 90s, and Ajax in the mid-90s... Great teams... Even so, I don't think that they played football in the irresistible way that this current Barça team do.

I just hope that this team doesn't peak too soon !

I think that Pep is severely underrated.

Back in England, there's a general snide conclusion of: ''My granny could win the European Cup with that team !''.

Guardiola has done well to keep this current team together, and he's managed Barcelona well... This Barça side is on the verge of history and Guardiola may well go down in history as the manager who oversaw this team to truly legendary status...

The ''La Masia'' academy provided them with about 9 first-team players in a recent game against, I think, Almería.

What about this for a ''home-grown'' batch ?!

Puyol, Xavi, Valdés, Iniesta, Piqué, Messi, Busquets, Bojan, Pedro.

LOL.

Fair enough, mate.

I think that Manchester United will crawl over the line in the Premier League, just because Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, et al. are just so inconsistent.

Did you see that Newcastle-Arsenal 4-4 game at the weekend ?! LOL !

I think that Man Utd will be a very good team once they get some ''spunk'' in to their midfield... I like Nani rampaging down the wing, but you've got to admit that the likes of Carrick, Fletcher, Anderson and Gibson, are just not a winning midfield combination...

Barcelona is amazing don't get me wrong. Still, that game was bs. That red card gave barca the game. They still probably would have won, but to let them have it like that was lame. They were so afraid of the emirates game repeat that the decision was made to prevent it. If you will recall Barca was pretty dominant in that game, but couldn't quite break through. Finally, Arsenal got some breaks and won. With a tie the 30 minutes remaining it was about to be an exciting finish. Arsenal could have done it again, or Barca could have show real grit to win it.Too bad the refs gave barca the game.
