For those who are interested, Mary has just informed me that the doco will be re-run on December 23rd on SBS, not sure of the time.

Also not sure if you can watch it online, maybe check www.sbs.com.au if your not in Australia & want to watch it. They do still have the edited segments up there too.

Very interesting documentary. I'm more in the camp with the woman's son. A healthy dose of skepticism. He makes the point that the people interviewed truly believe the experience they have had. He doesn't deny any of what they said, but their testimony lends a bit more credence to the phenomenon. Until more solid evidence is gained that would point 100% to ET existence (Cadaver / UFO landing / direct communication), it is just a "I don't know." Polygraph can be a useful tool in determining truth, but they are not a guarantee of truth.

The UFO footage was interesting. I am usually one of those people saying Chinese lanterns, but some appear many feet above the ground (Chinese lanterns are normally released from a few feet off the ground). Maybe aircraft flares? Night time Skydivers doing training?

The one piece of evidence that I find intriguing was the DNA study of the blond hair sample. That is the sorta stuff that will give skeptics pause, not whether someone can pass a lie detector test with their testimony (though it helps).

Polygraph is bunk because it determines whether you're lying. Which is totally different to truth itself.

Some nut in a mental asylum could believe himself to be Jesus, and he'd pass a polygraph because he himself believes it.

So for that reason polygraphs should only be taken as circumstantial evidence

I find myself wanting to get violent with that so called skeptic at that conference, what a D Bag! That lady did not deserve to be treated like that, even though she kind of dropped the ball to prove her point. None of the classic and unexplained cases were discussed, a place where the closed minded avoid going because encroaching on such waters does not work in such favor. The first guy and his story of a huge ship flying over and the whole neighborhood seeing it made me cast doubt right away. I mean as brainwashed as people are now it could very well explain some things like Aliens mind controlling neighborhoods to forget such things. But the other guy with the alien nipple sex story/rape... i hate to go digging up names and i am bad with names, he seems genuine. All though i heard his story before some time ago and laughed it off as a joke even in my experiences "i shouldn't judge" i should take them seriously. Even as crazy as it sounds when something so crazy like this actually happens to you it should be easier for you to be accepting. But i use to buy all these stories because i had something happen to me, im tarnished by the hoaxers and and very guarded now.

But that guy at the podium deserved a good bar room type of pummeling....

Just sayin

Interesting how no one talked about the polygraph test yet.
It might not be considered evidence or whatever. Only other example that comes to mind is Bob Lazar.

So there seems to be intent on discarding polygraph results, why ?
And what other positive polygraphs are out there that some are just too shy to talk about ?

Didn't Billy Meir take a polygraph as well?
I think he passed the test on that...

Oh I agree. It does not make sense to me that an abductee would be polygraphed over an experience that they only recall through hypnosis? What is the logic behind that? Polygraphs are the worst kind of bogus science. They are only used by police departments to coax confessions.
