Thousands of Italian teenagers have been banned from driving motor scooters by a new law that took effect on Thursday.
Young Italians aged 14 and upwards have traditionally been allowed to ride scooters with a small engine - up to 50 cc - without training or a licence.

If the teen's are caught without a license, they could be fined up to approximately $600 dollars. They could even lose their scooter. I'm just
wondering what took them so long.
