I never said that it wasn't angels.I just point out that angels(us we know them and if they exist) are alien species.
And besides sth having wings doesn't mean it is 100% literal.Maybe they were trying to portay the ability to fly.

And let us not forget that in almost all ancient religions the gods came from the sky and they used flying chariots.
