This is breaking so minimal info at the moment.

No idea what age the hostages are.

Fingers crossed this will end with all safe and sound, we don't need any more shootings anywhere, but especially schools.

I'll post more as it comes in....

Thats terrible, if he was just wanting to kill people he would of not taken hostages, so hopefully he can get some sense talked into him... Keep us posted thanks!

Just some more info, nothing really new yet, but local

MARINETTE, Wis. -- An emergency management official in Wisconsin said an armed student has taken hostages inside a high school classroom in Marinette.

Marinette County emergency management director Eric Burmeister said a high school administrator called authorities after 3 p.m.

Monday to say an armed student had burst into a classroom.Burmeister said he's unsure how many people are in the classroom and no injuries have been reported.

Choral teacher Bonita Weydt told The Associated Press that school ended about 10 minutes later and the principal told her to leave the building immediately.

Burmeister said parents are being asked to go to the county courthouse.

Marinette is a little more than an hour north of Green Bay and sits on the border with Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Once again I read about news on ATS BEFORE it surfaces on CNN.

"two dozen hostages" "armed with a hand gun" were the key-points I caught from the 15 second report.

Thats what we are here for. The news breaks at the same time everywhere, but outlets such as CNN, MSNBC, FOX have to 'schedule' it in at the producers discretion. You get it here unfiltered, unscheduled and sometimes innacurate

But in this case we are spot on!

S for you my friend

Not a funny situation but a little light is always good.

I wonder whats going on in the hostages heads (i hope i don't die or i don't get hurt) i hope it ends soon/quick.

I wonder if it would happen less if the MSM didn't almost glorify it....

You are a pitiful "humna".

Are there any of the students on twitter, I wonder? If they could get a twitter out, it could keep parents and families abreast of the situation.

My fellow humna...

I was checking twitter earlier and didnt see anything. Just a bunch of people tweeting the news story...
Perhaps we need to dig a little deeper....facebook maybe?

The only update I found so far was the number of hostages 23 students and 1 teacher...
