Right on, OP.

This is all just a load of disinfo. Seems like just another psy-op on the part of The Company. Oh, by the way, they want us to believe the Warren Report, too. LOL!

Has anyone read the history of Julian Assange the founder of WikiLeaks? Or heard him speak? He is very real and Wikileaks is real, not some government dis-info organization. So many people here on ATS truly WANT there to be conspiracy, and will not accept that they might be wrong. Look at the evidence, maybe Wikileaks is proof that the government has some bad eggs, but generally not corrupt, at least as corrupt as you believe. I believe that people are generally good.

If you want to continue believing your ideas for whatever reasons you believe them; REALIZE WIKILEAKS IS STILL ONLY 4 YEARS OLD. They are still proving themselves to whistle blowers. Give them another 10 years of track record and perhaps then bigger 'conspiracies' will start to trickle out from their gates.

...so, some 'criminal' hacker needs to create controversy, so that his four year old website can become popular? Assange and Wikileaks are getting some great television, newspaper, and online advertising for this stint.

Assange is looking to get popular and rich at the expense of destroying the establishment. Period. He is a rebellious criminal hacker who seeks fame. As a result of his activism, he is becoming an information terrorist.

It is only a matter of time until he is assassinated.

Yeah I am thinking Wiki is just plain disinfo. Notice how conviently they release cables that show China is fed up with North Korea just at a time when North Korea attacked South Korea~!

Its a sham to be sure, and they are doing this to make things that are 'hidden' to not seem so bad, so to cover the really bad stuff up.

Notice Wiki never came through with anything that was really all that 'earth shattering'

A lot of claims from Julian Assange but in the end and as always he doesn't live up to his claim.

Notice this from the Mainstream Media

politics.usnews.com...

But for all the hand-wringing about the airing of embarrassing dirty diplomatic laundry, the cables are also notable for what they don't contain: extensive evidence of U.S. duplicity or inconsistency. Indeed, like the previous publication of hundreds of thousands of battlefield reports from Iraq and Afghanistan, one of the most surprising revelations is much evidence that goes contrary to what the public already knows, foreign policy watchers say. Blake Hounshell, editor of Foreign Policy Magazine notes that the newly-published cables actually show that the State Department is "remarkably consistent in what it says publicly and privately."

And that is what they want. They want us to believe that they are not that different privately when compared with what is public.

Wiki is disinfo in my view unless they come through with something major soon, I will maintain that they are just here to muddle the waters.

of course WikiLeaks looks wrong....the site is monitored by this facility

Reportedly, this is the largest electronic monitoring station in the world and it provides crucial intelligence on terrorist activities to both the UK and the USA. Surrounded by three miles of razor-wire fencing this facility allegedly scans emails, phone calls and faxes for keywords and is so secret it only began appearing on maps recently.

Is it just me or does anyone else have the feeling that Wikileaks is a sham. Sure they are releasing the Embassy cables but they seem to advance the position of Israel and the United States. Some of the cables ARE somewhat embarrassing but nothing really damning. So what if in one cable an Ambassador calls the new British PM a "lightweight". Virtually everything leaked was really no surprise. Interresting that No leaked cables cast even the lightest dispersion on Israel. I find that strange given the very bad start Obama and Netanyahu got off to. Not even one cable critizing the Gaza war or the killing of the Gaza peace activists on the high seas. Nothing about Israel or the Palestinians intransiange concerning the peace process.

There is a cable stating Ben Laden is alive!!!! I doubt that! In any case I decided to do a little research. John Young, co founder of Wikileaks runs cryptome.org. He left Wikileaks shortly after it was founded saying it has become a CIA and Mossad operation. Because he says so certainly doesn't mean it is true but it does give me cause to wonder. China also has doubts as to the "Ownership" of Wikileaks. Anyone else feel that something is not right with Wikileaks?

Great post! I was 50/50 until the recent release which has completely given the game away

It's a false flag

I'm 50/50 on this. On one hand, you have a website that is leaking government information, none of which appears to be the kind of information that would cripple a government...

On the other hand, you have the Obama administration officially declaring it a crime to leak this information (it was front page news in today's newspaper, where I live)

It does seem plausible that both parties (WL and the US Government)are working together in an attempt to create a reason to beef up internet security, but I still wonder if maybe they just haven't gotten to the 'juicy' parts yet...maybe they're waiting to put out the good stuff until all the media's attention is turned elsewhere...idk, just a theory.

I would like to share this though, because I found it odd...

Just a few minutes ago I was scrolling through the cables released on the 29th, and came across one that said something along the lines of "XXXXXXXX Discusses g-20, Beijing". I clicked on it, and the link came up broken. i tried refreshing the page, that didn't work so i clicked back and refreshed the original page and the cable in question was gone. Not sure how that happened, but WL does seem to be giving me a bit of trouble. Its still not there, as far as i can tell...if anyone else can see it let me know.

Not right is an understatement. Julian's "release" asserts israel's position on iran, states bin laden is alive, and he himself calls 9/11 truth annoying. He may as well wear a sign that says "mossad/CIA disinformation specialist". ignore him. At first, I thought he was doing something. gotta look closer, though, and it's apparent he's controlled opposition.

Nice posts and a lot of great new points made. Something is seriously kicking-up my olfactory senses in a bad way about this whole thing with the dumping. I think it may be a "sensibly convenient" way to go about getting the web controlled by who else? the govt. Rockafeller does ring a bell from the past come to think about it. He and his family have always tried to limit the amount of information to we "common folk" have access to. I am not buying the fact that they never seen it coming. I think it has always been a question of when not how. Perhaps Wiki is saving the best for last? They could have had this dude taken out a long time ago if they wanted to and the same with Obama, I mean Osama.
It may be a way of trying to deflect the image of Obama and his cronies with the way the rest of the world thinks if him. I can soon envision on a pretty day a billboard on a country road with a hugh picture of Obama of being hailed "Our great Leader" and green pastures in the background with workers in the sunshine and blue sky's with their shirt-sleeves rolled-up. I don't know, just a wild guess. Many are right in saying that the world is really screwed up. It is like Alice in Wonderland: What is up is down and I hope this is not going to be the new "normal" because if it is we are all screwed for generations to come.
Hell, we all pretty much know that the U.S. Govt. is just trying to hang on by a thread in the international community. We lost all, or pretty much of the worlds respect and creditability when Osama, I mean Obama was sworn it. Two more years of this same 'ol, same ol' and we are going to be standing in a bread line somewhere.

Mission accomplished:

Wikileaks has now been effectively discredited as a propaganda tool before anything truly damaging has been released.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled reprogramming.

I to have bin following this wikileaks story,
and it appears that there is more to this story than meet the eye.
The investigative jounalist Wayne Madsen is talking about same CIA connections that the OP is talking about.
I have a feeling that wikileaks will soon be backed in a corner that will be hardd to get around.

Just because Assange is now wanted by Interpol, doesn;t mean that he is legit. Remember back over the summer when he wasl also wanted by Pentagon officials? Yeah, the Pentagon was supposedly hunting him down too, even though his schedule was public and he was touring the various media outlets right here in America, yet they couldn't seem to find him.

This is all smoke and mirrors if you ask me.

also, i believe the information is correct, but the info is not top secret or secret. It simply is just info comming out of somewhere. This info will be used to shut down the internet in place of a more secure site controlled by the gov't. I'm sure this is the first stage of BIG BROTHER in action.

Indeed .. im with you on this
its their new tactic ... cover a lie with lies and lies + sacrifice a few detail on a collateral damage
a men that was able to release many top secret info on the web just like that ... if the pentagone didnt want them to be released ... they wouldnt be released
this supose leak is for the show .. its another step foward until they attack Iran
they actualy beleive that people will beleive in that leak .. DO THEY THINK WE ARE STOUPID ???
i got my answer

at least some of us have a brain to see it coming before all MSM distribute the lie to the world
they will go with the story ..
a big war is coming .. can we do something about it ?
this leak is the point of no return vs Iran ..

Do some of you actually believe the US would have left the internet alone had WL not released? They have been trying for years to tame the net and long before WL hit center stage. With or without WL, they were going to accomplish that goal. Knowing that, are people still prepared to rest that blame on WL when that happens?
