Won't a person be better off trying to find someone that is "acceptable" physically(let's face it chemical reaction is important for romantic bonding and physical attractiveness is important too) and focus on the mental/emotional/spiritual compatibility more?

The average chick might not be a super model but is very much acceptable from a physical/chemical perspective.
And if you just chase for a quick lay your only setting yourself up for super failure. STD's, getting a chick you may think is "hot" but can't stand knocked up... To name a few bad scenario's.
