According to a new book by American author Patricia Ruiz, the once glittering Apocalypse Now star owes �11m.

Ruiz said the star had even been reduced to hiding his Oscars to prevent them being seized by creditors.

He could've been a contender. This probably adds to his desire to eat. Too bad, he was (is) a great actor. Sure would like him to make it through this and give us one more memorable performance. (Act like your paying the bill)
