Definitely follow the link provided in the Opening post.
One of my favorites is the long exposure of the moths flying around the light.
It would have taken me a while to figure out that's what it was.

Thanks for linking that. I already have it saved in my favorites after discovering it last year. I actually entered a couple of my own this year...doubt they'll go anywhere though as there are literally thousands of entries. Here are a couple of my favorites that I have taken:

You'll recognize this one from my avatar:

And finally one from my old camera but still a favorite:

Absolutely Beautiful. S&F, but I would give a million S&Fs if I could. This goes to show what a beautiful planet we take for granted.

Thanks....I entered the moth in my hand one and another that I don't have on here. I love browsing through the galleries on that site. There are some amazing ones on there.

It's a great way also to be inspired for amature photographers like myself. My stance is that we have become so closed off to the world around us, that we fail to see the beauty that is happening constantly, all the time from the obvious rainbow to the small raindrop on a weed. If everyone were to pick up a camera and take the time to simply LOOK every once in awhile then we would all appreciate this incredible world a little more!

Very well said...

Ya know i like coming to ATS and reading about the conspiracy theories and all that, they're very intersting and there are some very brilliant people who write here, but i like to post stuff on the lighter side of life. There's still some beauty left in this world..

I love the moth picture. I also love pictures of storms and lava. Or is that a time lapse picture of a highway with headlights? I can't tell. It looks like lava to me though, which is very cool.
