An Taoiseach Brian Cowen has confirmed there will be a General Election in the new year.

In a statement in the last few minutes he said there was a "clear duty on all members of Dáil Eireann" to facilitate the passing of the Budget on December 7.

i think it is about time there is an election and let a different party try make this mess go away. well, i doubt it will go away but hopefully they will try make some improvement of this mess that we are in!
this new is just breaking, earlier on today we had confirmation that we will be bailed out by the IMF and ECB, then after that the green party (coilition between them and fina fall) have anounced they will be withdrawing from government.

interesting times.... wonder what will come of all this?
also with the IMF bailing us out, we are giving away our freedom, we will have no say in new laws,legislations that they can bring in, this is a first for the irish.

personal note: is this just more of TPTB taking away our freedom and taking control of the world??

Cowen should have gone tonight. He will do well do to last the week..

Europe let the news out now that Ireland will only get bailout on condition that Ireland passes budget on Dec 7th. They stated they must stop fire in Ireland spreading to the rest of Europe.

Basically Europe has threatened Ireland that there is no bailout unless the people allow the gangsters in power to pass budget on Dec 7th.

I am beginning to think that as we are been brought down we should bring the rest of Europe with us.

At least he has some sort of dignity, not like a blair type leader, then?

Will be interesting what happens.
