I believe that is one of the problems. We live in a free and open society. I think everything should be free and open. Including all religious groups, societies, etc.. Why have secrets unless you have something to hide? I think history has shown that a free and open society has been the best overall for humanity has a whole. So yes .. for me part of it IS a fear of what I don't know. No need to resort to insults Darktalon...

The Supreme Court of the United States deliberates in secret, juries deliberate in secret. Government security agencies, and law enforcement organizations meet and conduct operations in secret. Criminal and terrorist organizations do the same. Corporations, and small businesses plot, plan and proceed without sensing any need for divulging their ambitions to the world... or you. The idea that a free and open society means that all is revealed is sophomoric at best, and paranoid at any other level.

Didn't, it's a belief, that in a free and open society I should be able to express, and not be told to hide.

In a free and open society you have the right to be private and intimate. You have a right to your own, you have no right to ours.

Yes and some of this I strongly disagree with. Many people in Canada and the USA consider our societies free and open societies. We all know that there have to remain some temporary secrets (which mostly do get revealed) , however we do strive to keep as much as possible open to the public.

Not quite sure who your talking to 2012. If it was me, and I hope its not, I already am . Only 1 more investigative meeting to go, and my vote goes up in 2 weeks if all goes well.

Until just five months ago I had never heard of the Illuminati or of any other secret society's, I guess all that can be said is that I have been blind to so many things. About three months ago a close friend of mine shared with me what he had been reading , researching and studying about and needles to say the Illuminati was one of them. When he began to tell me about it and because this has greatly concerned me I had become very interested and wanted to learn more about it. Just a few weeks later my friend was killed in a car accident. Needles to say he was the only person I knew of that was interested in such things or who had any knowledge of it as well. So when I found this topic fourm and web site I felt as if I had found gold. So I would appreciate it very much if you had some suggestion's on any informative literature covering these subject's or if you had any other interesting information on the the topic of the Illuminati.

You are correct. Many of us are fascinated by secret societies. But, we are also fascinated with the truth about them, not all that Masonry-is-evil-and-they-worship-the-devil-don't-you-know malarkey.
