So i want to ask all of you what would you chose from these two really oposite ways of thinking.

Would you chose unity? Meaning a world where every country is united ?

Or would you chose Patriotism/Nationalism? Meaning a world where every country wants to be the best?

(this is also involved in a study of mine for sociology so please be sincere)

All i would say is that 30 years back you would of got a different answer than today.

Usa has a real problem in this, that they think they are the only country on earth, like how english used to feel. Ask yourself will that change?

Well i want some answers that fit with today's events. And not just from US people, but from everyone in every country.

I'd actually choose neither. Individualism is more of my thing.

I believe it's related to the struggle the liberals now find themselves in. They see misery in the world and they want everyone to share in it, whereas conservatives work to eliminate it. We, (the USA) cannot help other less advanced countries unless we ourselves are sound, which we are not. If you want to call isolationist then so be it. Abe Lincoln called America 'the last best hope'. I do not want to be part of a global society
