Thought I might jump on everybody's anti TSA kick & throw this one into the wolf pit

At the heart of the controversy over “body scanners” is a promise: The images of our naked bodies will never be public. U.S. Marshals in a Florida Federal courthouse saved 35,000 images on their scanner. These are those images.

Personally I haven't flown since the early 00's but I may have to soon, I wonder what someone with a pace-maker would look like in one of these things? or a titanuim hip? do you need a doctors note to fly if you have a condition like that?

If the images shown here are what are being called our 'naked bodies'.....come on! What a hyped-up pile of garbage this is!

yeah I think alot of this is hype, body scanners are almost a non news story to me. I don't think anyone will be able to get rid of them by just blogging about not wanting his touched for refusing to go through one. Just a thought

That is a strawman argument - there are plenty of photos available on the internet which show the full level of detail and resolution not to mention that the unsaved images are supposed to be of a much higher quality than what has been exposed to us.

i was stopped and redirected to a secondary security check the only time i went thru one of these. they thought i was smuggling a baseball bat.

yeah thats also true and I was about to post one here but its pretty clear and I think it would be removed as borderline pornographic material

It's just as everyone thought what would happen, and now it seems it has. These are from a low resolution scanner, but it makes no difference, they should not have been archived. It's only a matter of time before the back scatter images become available somewhere.
