This is not the normal strategy of slowly cooking the frog. That is why I said I was glad they are doing this so fast so it shocks people enough to revolt against such atrocities.

The Repubs have come out and told the airlines they do not have to allow the TSA in the airports. That was part of the law as written. The airlines can kick out the TSA and takeover the screening themselves. Wonder how long it will take the socialists to try and pass new legislation, once the airlines start kicking the government out of the airports?

I think if it comes down to either getting blown up or scanned/frisked/whatever I know what I'll choose. The airports/government/whatever get backed into a corner by the public. If they spend too much money on preventative measure, if they make laws to restrict things, if they make laws giving more powers to the police, if they are proactive, then people get all up in arms. On the other hand, the first time someone gets hurt these same people are shouting about how they didn't do enough and, if you didn't anticipate this particular problem, come election time it's hello scapegoats-ville.

I don't know about anyone else, the stance I took after all the terrorists attacks was NOT to make my life or other's lives miserable, it was to begin shutting down the immigration of people from countries that have these terrorists. Another one would be to disallow travel from these countries that harbor and create the terrorists.

BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, it make much more sense to frisk a 3 year old. No, not the muslim looking guy that has an escort that has no visa.

THAT would make too much sense.

Yeah, time to profile. Time to get rid of the patdowns, the x ray machines and use bomb sniffing dogs. Time to take 1 of every two profiled persons for a substantive pat down.

Maybe if the "moderate" Muslims actually have something detrimental happen to them due to the "extremist" Muslims, they might actually SAY something.

For the occaisional traveller, I can see how this would be an inconvenience, and tend to get stress about it. But next time you're in the queue waiting to go through security, take a look at the scruffily dressed guys strangely carrying an expensive pull along computer case. these are the guys who like myself do this far too often than is good for their sanity.

I really do not know what all the hoo haa is about. really I don't.

You can scream and shout, and argue and complian. Or.. you can act like an adult, and just get on with it. Nothing that you or anyone else can say will make them change the rules.

The best thing i could say is that the security checks are moved from one central point to gate checks like in Europe. this way with the "enhanced" security measures, at least the waiting time is reduced. that way you are less stressed, because you know you will not miss the flight if the TSA arse is slow. as you will already be at the gate.

This is one battle we lost against the NWO, so if you want to travel, just get on with it.
I can be in and out of security with bag check and pat down in 120 seconds.
if you kick off, you will be there for a lot longer and will NOT win! and possibly have the airline refuse carriage.

If they intimately pat me down the next time I fly I will say this afterwards with a listhp

of course I will probably be arrested or miss my flight because it will be considered a potential threat...which is what I am hoping for.

Personally I think everyone should be required to fly dressed like Borat.
