I've been watching all the episodes of " LOST " again, and the episode in which Charlie lists the 5 happiest memories of his life, knowing he was going to die, gave me the inspiration for this thread

Oh and that episode like ALWAYS makes me cry, cos its just soooooo sentimental !!

But it made me think, what have been the 5 happiest, most awesome moments of my life so far ??
So in descending order they are....

5) The day I spent on the Isle of Skye, that was just perfect. The sky was blue, the sea was blue, the sun was shining and you could see for miles !!
Led Zeppelin blasting out " Stairway To Heaven " as I drove down this winding road and came over the top of this hill to views that took my breath away

4) The very first time I ever visited America, it had always been my dream and it sure didn't disappoint !!
Everything was just amazing, seeing the Grand Canyon, driving through the Mojave desert, Vegas, LA, and discovering hidden lil' gems like Joshua Tree National Park etc

Wow, the whole America trip just blew my mind !!

3) Seeing 3 UFOs up near Menwith Hill......close up as well !!
That was defo probably a once in a lifetime experience

2) Driving across the States from Boston to Seattle in a hired red mustang....Hmmmm

Including seeing the mind-blowing Yellowstone Super Volcano and also the Badlands, god that was just my ultimate road trip

1) The very first time someone very, very special to me on here changed his usual message of Lurve ya to an actual I Love You

Whatever your top 5 is, please share them with us all on this thread......

Mine is a little lacking compared to yours but here we go lol

1. Getting married last month to the woman I love

2. Being at Game 5 of the World Series this year, for free to boot! Only thing that would have made this better would have been my Braves playing the Rangers in it.

3. Canoeing the lakes in Minnesota up into Canada for a week

4 & 5 I'm going to have to leave open for lack of anything else coming to mind. I'm sure there will be something in the future to fill these voids.

It's really hard to pick just 5 out of such a loooooong life...

The day I married my husband in a private ceremony in the woods

The day I picked up my first GSD puppy (the one in my avatar)

The night I attended a Crosby, Stills and Nash concert (my 14th birthday)

The day my brother came home from Vietnam

My first kiss...

hello Ms. UK :-)

how goes it?

what a lovely idea for a thread - one of my very most favorite things - hearing about those things that mean the most to other people

I'll have to do some thinking

5? does it have to be 5?

hmmmm.....

The morning I woke up early on a tall mountain, looked out the window and saw all the clouds and mountains below looking like a rocky stream, super sized.

Prayer

The day I realized it wasn't my fault.

The day my hubby proposed.

The time we spent on our honeymoon and the beauty that surrounded us. Living in the lap of luxury is fun!

Top five?

Off the top of my head?

Running into old friends at a convention at UWF.

Finding a earring during a dig on a fort.

Buying my first vehicle myself.

The days my nieces said my name.

Being given my black belt.

too many to count - or write about here - apparently :-)

I actually put quite a bit of thought into this Ms. UK...

here's just and only one - and perfect for ATS I think:

a ship of stars sailing slowly out of the southeast - only to disappear in less than a flash over the western hills...

a perfect mystery

and a completely confounding memory - but, definitely - awesome

:-)

I can't think of 5 but I have one that is so like a fairytale that it's almost ridiculous

My first ever kiss was on a completely isolated beach in Greece, just me and this one girl who was working for the same Sea Turtle protection charity as me alone in the middle of nowhere, we had been flirting for quite a while before that night and so the camp leader sent us out alone together as a kind of joke.

The night was hot, and there was no moon so the sky was just full of stars lots of shooting stars and you could see the edge of the Milky Way as a bright line across the sky. and hear the sound of the ocean
Just as we kissed for the first time the Turtle nest we were guarding hatched and dozens of baby turtles broke through the sand and started running for the sea.

That memory was quickly followed by the worst memory in my life when the next morning the girl told me sha had a boyfriend in Germany and she couldn't handle the guilt so we couldn't talk to each other any more

Ho Humm

That is just a 10/10 romantic night you've got in your memory bank there baby !

Shame about the outcome, but hey you'll never forget that moment, the pure perfection of the night, and that makes it priceless....

Maybe it was just not meant to be in this life, but maybe sometime, someplace, your paths might be destined to cross again

God this thread is making me all soppy and sentimental !!
