We are in the DC/Pittsburgh turn arounds and constantly have traffic overhead. This is the first time I've ever seen this phenomenon. The mid November spider sailing spree does seem to fit and it's fairly warm and still today.

I can't believe I've never noticed that spiders do this before.

I'm on the mid-east edge of WV. just went to the window and looked up towards the sun, yep... there they are!

Thank you AliWV. Do they appear to be REALLY high to you? Can you give your own description please?

I've lived in town and country, and I'm familiar with the spiders hatching. Believe me, its nothing like this. Anyway, yesterdays jets were flying a slow southeasterly path and the one I took thread samples from was flying waaaayyy too low to be a commercial airliner. Lots of people around here are talking about it. This is the first time an of us have ever experienced this either. I assure you it wasn't spider babies. What's in this stuff is a question for whatever govt agency is behind those jets.

Boy did you get our attention! Nov 1st my friend and I were walking our dogs about sunset. We live in the high country of Arizona. This is a rural area but there is a small park near the open rolling hills. As we crossed the grass, the sun caught the most amazing sight. The entire grass, tree tops and light poles were criscrossed with tiny filiment sized threads. It looked like a million spider webs. Everything was covered. There were some hanging down from the trees to my vehicle. My friend picked up some and there were little wads of "something" that felt dry like cotton. There was a thin and thick consistancy to this stuff. It also stuck to her gloves. It stayed around on the pavement for days. It sounds similar to your post. I've never heard of angle hair before. I'd love to know what this was. We know the "critters" of our area and this is nothing we have seen before.

Its definitely something jets are spraying out this week. Maybe some kind of cloud seeding experiment or worse. I took pics on my phone of the jets and my samples, but they are horrible and out of focus.

Yes, it was hard to get photos. The auto focus kept locking on the building roof and the edge of the tow boom (the things I blocked the sun with) and most of the filaments were way to high to be clear with near focus. The filaments didn't have near enough substance to get the focus to lock on them. Wish I had a good tele for the rebel. The rebel has a manual focus and I could have gotten better shots with it.

I can't see really far up, but they're higher than some pretty tall trees. Some are snagged in the trees, some are higher.

Thanks again Ali for taking the time to go look for me! None of the ones I saw came low enough to hang up in a tree that I could see but I'm going back out and have a look around. ~If~ I find one or some I'll gather some and look at it through the microscope. If I get to look at it through the microscope I'll report back.

They look like strands of spiderwebs. I can't actually see the actual strands, I see the sunlight reflecting off of them. I've seen this before, just never thought anything about it till this thread.

I'd just like to know why they are dropping this stuff on us this week. And what's in it. As I said, I watched first hand as these jets flew overhead leaving a really dense chemtrail that vanished really fast. And then you could start to see the threads up high, then the fuzzy wads catching light, then it was falling all around, hanging on trees and buildings and cars. What is this stuff supposed to do?

I've lived in the country since I was nine and never saw a gossamer thread carrying a spider before, and I practically live outside
, and spiders are something I really take note of. I've never seen this before.

Seems you have this one figured out, but reminds me of the frequent 'Angel Hair' descriptions reported in conjunction with several UFO reports in the 50s and 60s. I don't think they're so prevalent now. Anyway, felt some of you might be interested.

This is UFO forum t right? Hmmmmm and not one person has managed as far as i can see to ask the op to google the term "angel hair" . Not that I'm saying this is connected but it is the connection to UFOs.

This kind of explains some of the incredibly odd "weblike" strings strung throughout my backyard in strange angles, and yet anything resembling an actual spider's web never comes to fruition. They're chemtrailing the shizz out of So. Cal. right now.

None of this stuff seems to be actually making it to the ground here. What I've seen so far (I just came in from another round of watching it fall) all seems to "evaporate" or vanish before it ever gets near the ground or even the roof top levels. I would think that if it were a baby spider's flying filament it would not just evaporate and drop him from 100' in the air

You can watch this stuff just shrink into nothingness right before your eyes.

Exactly, but why are they doing this now? I've seen these strings on cars before and assumed them to be spider silk, but after seeing it sprayed from a jet chemtrailing firsthand, I now know where they come from, but now my question is, to what end?

I find this angel hair phenomena very strange. I saw a tv show the other day ("Unexplained mysteries" maybe, I can't remember) where they tried to examine samples of it in a laboratory, but it vanished
One have to take those shows with a grain of salt of course ...

Here are some other ATS threads on, or connected to, the angel hair phenomena:
