A three-day federal crackdown on child prostitution rings across the country has resulted in the recovery of 69 children and the arrest of 884 people, including 99 pimps, federal authorities said Monday.

wow, this is not even the tip of the ice burg for child prostitution, or prostitution in general, but it does open the eyes of the people blinded from the horrors of what happens not only in the US, but around the world.

the saddest part is, just like drug trafficking, this problem will most likely never end

If convicted with alot of proof, I say Death Penalty!

I am very much against the Death Penalty, except for cases like this and rape.
Then again in this world eventually Death Penalty would happen even with little proof, so it's hard even now to be pro it.

But the harshest of punishement within law is needed here
No leniancy!

Amazing, that how can anyone say we live in a society that you peopel want to say is civilised.

Just glad i will never bring anyone into this world, sick people indeed.

One of the things that bothers me the most is that most of these guys won't spend more than a couple of months in jail. Then they will be right back out and doing it again. That is the way these big bust work out.

Usually they only have strong cases of major crimes against a couple dozen people. Then a lot of people have a hand full of small crimes (in judicialy punishable terms) that can be proven. The rest have no real worry of spending more than 90 days in jail. They get arrested because the cops hope they will flip on the ones with bigger charges pending. If they agree to flip they might get out on time served.

So really, the numbers look good, but I would be suprised if fifty of them spend more than five years in jail.

I am amazingly happy that so many kids will be taken out of this life style. It breaks my heart to see innocent children abused in such a way.

Well on a grim side note, child molesters/rapists usually get special treatment from the other inmates for whatever time period they are in prison.

I am of the opinion the majority of child molesters are not able to be rehabilitated, IE they will eventually go after children again or God forbid have their own.

if you havent seen the movie taken, or the programs on msmbc, its a good eye opener to the monster that is sex trafficking. forget weapons of mass destruction, drugs, or terrorism. this beast is the biggest and baddest of them all. and i bet this wont even make a dent into the big players profits.
