La Leon, (Santiago Otheguy, 2007)
This is an Argentinian film with English subtitles. Immerses you in a world unlike that known to most of us, in the coastal flood plains of Argentina. It is a great getaway, and quietly disturbes you on the inside.

I have seen both of those. I thought that "What the Bleep Do We Know?" would be a good prequel to "The Matrix"

I gotta add to my list: "Invictus"
I absolutely LOVE Clint Eastwood as a director and regardless of your political bias this is a MUST SEE.
He totally captured the entire message in the scene with the little black boy and the white cops. OMG I was rooting for South Africa and I don't even follow sports!!!!

Putting it on my Netflix que. I LOVE indie and foriegn films especially with subtitles. Subtitles drive my hubby nuts but I like watching the movie as the actors act in their own "world?" (for lack of a better word) and I get the invitation to watch the production. Much like "Labrynth" which I love.; the only problem with that one is I can't put it on for background: gotta read the subtitles! LOLOLOL!!!!

Grave of the Fireflies imdb Is one of the saddest most poignant movies I have ever seen,

It's about a young boy and his little sister struggling to survive in Japan during WW2. I never usually watch animated films, but I've watched this one over and over and it's made me shed a tear every time. It's really is heartbreaking to the point where you want to stop watching but can't because you are so caught up in the lives of the characters,

I really suggest that everyone see it, but have some tissues handy (even if you are a macho guy!)
