Cop protecting Obama shoots self in leg

www.rawstory.com

The Hindustan Times reports that Suhas Chaudhary's .38 was not locked, which led to the accidental firing on Saturday. Police report that Chaudhary had just finished his shift of guarding the Taj Mahal Hotel. When he was getting into his vehicle, he removed his gun and accidentally pulled the trigger.

No one else was reported to be injured and neither President Obama nor Michelle Obama were at the hotel when it happened. The bullet grazed Chaudhary's leg before hitting the ground. He was taken to hospital.

LOL.. I love the title this guy should be a HERO.LOL protecting Obama.

lets see if there are any other conflicting stories thats usually what happens, but I think this was just another case of [SNIP] just hapenin.

Hmm, what else do you want me to comment on. this guy shot himself in the leg protecting Obama LOL.

just noticed this at the bottom of the article.

Obama is on a four-day visit to India, after which he is scheduled to travel to Indonesia. That LEG of his foreign tour could also run into unexpected difficulties: The continuing eruption of Mount Merapi, a volcano that has killed 120 in Indonesia so far, is being closely watched by White House officials.

What the hell kind of a sick comment is that?

You need to take a good long look at yourself...but the fact that you would say this, and that you 'hate cops', pretty much says it all.

As to the article, it is certainly misleading...sensationalism to draw the readers.

um.. why did the Barney Fife picture get muted?? I thought it was a funny commentary. I mean, seriously?

The cop is ok, the article says it was basically a flesh wound. He is probably feeling a bit foolish right now.

Agreed. Barney was notorious for being careless with his gun. I'm glad the cop didn't seriously maim himself or kill himself. But really, the first thing that popped into my mind was Andy taking Barney's bullet out of the gun and slipping it into his own shirt pocket. Seriously, that cop's accident was an iconic Barney Fife moment!

seems your in the minority PAL....
funny how all the offensive posts get stars
and then get removed. are you a cop or a wanna be cop?

truth is these kinds of things happen all the time they just
dont draw the attention as this did cos of obama.

and you say my comment says a lot about me?
you dont even know why i dislike the law maybe
not the cops, that was a cheap shot i admit.(oh a joke in there too!)

most of the time even if the case is in your favour
you will not beat the law and that is why i stand
by what i say.

i am allowed an opinion after all.
gees dont take it personal.

oh and thanks i got my post removed but you have re-posted it for me how ironic.
and i guess the stars are mine too.NOTE SARCASM!

Thanks for pointing that out to me, I removed it from my post.

I really think the thread is about a sensational headline that would indicate Obama was threatened and the officer somehow shot himself while trying to protect him. Very misleading.

I don't understand why so many members jump at EVERY chance they get to bash cops. Sad.

Oh, and you can keep all your stars. I don't post my opinions/concerns to garner stars.

westcoast we could go on and on at this pace
and achieve what? nothing just a mud slinging match.

but i will stay a little on topic here seeing as me and you
are talking, well if you can call it that! about the police.
maybe not the cop unfortunate enough to shoot himself
but cops in general and the law.

all i am trying to say in my and most other peoples
experiences with the law do not turn out well,no matter
what you need them for they never seem to be on "our" side.

what it boils down to is the fact that they serve only the elite
or are bought off, there for corrupt.i have seen this 1st hand.

and the laws created by TPTB are put in place so MP's
can happily do what they like, almost untouchable.
so they can take what they need from the likes of us.

so ask yourself, if it came to revolution will you step up and
take the power back with deadly force if needed?

well i would not hesitate!
maybe that is the difference between
me and you.could you kill one person say a police man so we
could move forward and start afresh? make a better more equal world.
or would you consider this unthinkable?

as i said it was a cheap shot with the remark made but do
you see where i am coming from or have you never broken a law.

take a good hard look at those people that are supposed to serve US
look at what they get away with, and the people who decide the laws
who are they to tell us what is rite and wrong.the laws are made to protect
the elite they always have been and until revolution they always will.

i find this sad. well i have said my piece. i hope you have not taken all
of the previous rubbish to heart cos i have not. heck its only a web forum. nothing personal
