Masked man nabbed on flight to B.C. from Asia

A young Asian male has been intercepted by authorities in Vancouver after boarding a flight from Hong Kong disguised as an elderly white man, officials say.

Canada Border Services Agency officers boarded the Air Canada plane after it landed Oct. 29 and took the man into custody, the agency said in a statement issued by its Pacific region.

The alert did not specify where the flight landed, but Air Canada officials have confirmed to CBC News that it was Vancouver.

This story strikes me as being very odd. Why would a young Asian male dress an an old white man just to get to Asia?

The time and expense to pull this off must be tremendous and the need to do so intriguing. Add to the fact that he asked for refugee status as soon as he was arrested and we have an even more interesting story!

Was this an attempt to test airport security, or a desperate run for freedom?

The facts of this case will be unique to say the least and if anyone knows where to find anymore information, please share.
