Strange happenings at a wooden bridge, page 1

First off if this is the wrong place to post I apologize.

This is the even described by myself in a chat-room this evening, so forgive if the flow is a bit off. IKm tired and wanted to get opinion, but I am too lazy to rewrite as of now. Converstaion partners ame has been changed due to not having his permission to include his screename.

[00:02] bane9907: I have a weird experience with a place I would like to share before I go
[00:02] Guest: ok
[00:02] bane9907: Me and a friend finished work outside of highland Il.
[00:03] bane9907: it was diamond mineral springs restaurant, supposedly huanted I might add.
[00:03] bane9907: We went out cruising the back roads, drinkin a tallcan and smokin a bit oof ganja.'
[00:04] bane9907: we came across a newly built bridge with a historic wooden bridge next to it.
[00:04] bane9907: My buddy thinks it will be cool to pull over to this bridge and chill. This is midnight and I have a weird feeling
[00:05] bane9907: we pill in and I tell him not to turn off the car. he ridicules me before doing just that and exiting the vehicle.
[00:06] bane9907: we hang out for a minute, in the dark one one side of this barricaded wooden bridge. Finally we get in the car
[00:06] bane9907: surprise, it will not start.
[00:06] bane9907: so we pop the hood and realize the alternator belt is off the car.
[00:07] bane9907: we are trying to get it on with our habds, obviously to no avail.
[00:07] bane9907: Im freaked out because I felt something was wrong an told him not toturn off the vehicle
[00:08] bane9907: Im looking around these woods, and I notice a red light floating on the opposite side of the bank of the stream/creek
[00:09] Guest: omg....
[00:09] bane9907: It is slowly floating in a circle type motion away from us.
[00:09] bane9907: we decide it is time to walk.
[00:09] Guest: I have seen an orange one.... go on
[00:10] bane9907: we get picked up after walking from the site., car fixed right quick, good enough to get home
[00:10] bane9907: whuch leads me to a second episode later on, end of the events of this night
[00:11] bane9907: so Me my girl and my friend are out cruising, and I decide to show them this bridge, and tell the story
[00:11] bane9907: My truck was recently purchased and had a new drivetrain from engine all the way back
[00:12] bane9907: I take them to the bridge but I cross the new bridge and pull up on the other side of the creek
[00:12] bane9907: we shut the truck off, and get out and leave the beams on
[00:12] bane9907: . we walk up on the bridge and pass the barricade.
[00:14] bane9907: we get about a third of the way across, and we hear like a growl. out of the corner of my eye I see what looked like the back of a wolf, dog, something run evenly eith the bridge railing. keep in mind the grouns slopes down and the bridge slopes up a bit at this point,
[00:14] bane9907: what ever it was was between 6 and 8 feet at its back.
[00:15] bane9907: we all heard this and immediately run towards the truck, we get in and I power clutch it in reverse. The headlights dim and the truck dies.
[00:15] bane9907: I turn off the lights ad the truck Barely starts
[00:17] bane9907: I turn the light back on and we see a sheep dog, right in front of us wagging its taiil. it is a big dog but not what I saw, or we heard, this thing was brownish grey with wirey hair.
[00:17] bane9907: this dog was white/creme in color.
[00:17] bane9907: we left and I have never been back
[00:17] Guest: wow
[00:18] bane9907: that is the most supernatural of experiences I ever have had
[00:18] Guest: that would scare the crap out of me
[00:18] Guest: I have had few
[00:18] Guest: actually a number...all of them in that town
[00:18] Guest: I will have to tell you about the ball of light I seen and how I ducked my own bullet
[00:19] Guest: so ... what do you think it was you seen?
[00:19] bane9907: I dint have an explantion, but The feeling I had the first time sticks out. I KNEW we would have car problems
[00:19] bane9907: just creepy
[00:20] Guest: I would say Chupracabra... but they are not that tall
[00:20] bane9907: and then problem sa second time
[00:21] bane9907: If I had to pick a creature. Im sure it would be a wolf or even werewolf
[00:21] bane9907: the coat reminded me of an irish wolfhound
[00:21] Guest: wolves are large but not that large
[00:21] bane9907: i am sure there could be an explanation
[00:22] bane9907: it was dark, we were scaed, could have the size wrong
[00:22] Guest: do you think the glowing red ball were eyes? ... or were they related
[00:22] bane9907: doesnt feel like it
[00:22] Guest: and it is strange that there was a white sheep dog ... you would see white/cream at night easily
[00:23] bane9907: seperate ocassins. the movement had a floating quality not like I would imagine eyes
[00:23] Guest: ball lightening?.... or plasma ball?
[00:23] bane9907: it was very clear in the lights. the growl wasnt natural thoughm and it wasnt discussed we all ran simultaneously
[00:24] Guest: lol... good choice... RUN
[00:24] bane9907: I wouldnt sya it ws either. it wqas pronounced, the size of a basbeall if I had to guess
[00:24] Guest: hmmm
[00:24] Guest: I have heard of spirits presenting as glowing balls...
[00:25] Guest: there is an indian legend..(from that town) where the medicine men used to throw balls of light over teh river to summon the river serpent

[00:25] Guest: yes... orbs...
[00:26] bane9907: I think I will make a thread on ATS about this
[00:26] Guest: when you have more time I will show you that pic of the light I was telling you about.. and will share my expreience of the orange glowing ball
[00:27] bane9907: yeah I need to sleep, gotta get Up eaarly to send the kids home.

[00:29] bane9907: for sure, I may have a small amount of time before work to chat, we will see how it goes.
