very clear night pyramid over turkey up-loaded nov 5

It looks more bell shaped to me, typical et UFO, rather than like a pyramid.
Just my opinion.

at this point we are sorly lacking details
the poster is now aware he has created a fuss
i hope to see him post more footage and answer some questions soon

im kind thinking bell shaped after so many people have called it that
but my initial thought was pyrimid as that was the shape it made with the lighting conditions

if it is really in izmit i suspect it's kartepe greenpark, one of my fav ski places, not sure though. here, have look at it.

Well, it looks like this has been put to bed but since we have some information to go on I used Google SketchUp to put a simple model of the Kartepe resort into Google Earth in an attempt to simulate real-world conditions.

I put the camera in Izmit and took a screen grab looking toward the resort (picture 1). I circled the model that appears tiny but is visible. I then flew a straight line towards the resort and took another picture (picture 2).

Your second image also explains why the building (object) appeared to be tilted. Thank you!

the leason i have learnt is location info and daytime shots are critical in cases like these
im a bit disapointed but its better to know than to wounder
