Scientists Warn of Sterility Concerns After Testing Temperatures of Nether Regions

Whoever invented the 'laptop' probably didn't worry too much about male reproductive health. Turns out that sitting with a computer on your lap will crank up the temperature of your nether regions, which could affect sperm quality.

And there is little you can do about it, according to the authors of a study out today in the journal Fertility and Sterility, short of putting your laptop on a desk. The researchers hooked thermometers to the scrotums of 29 young men who were balancing a laptop on their knees. They found that even with a lap pad under the computer, the men's scrotums overheated quickly.

"Millions and millions of men are using laptops now, especially those in the reproductive age range," said Dr. Yefim Sheynkin, a urologist at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, who led the new study.

"Within 10 or 15 minutes their scrotal temperature is already above what we consider safe, but they don't feel it," he added. So far, no studies have actually tested how laptops impact men's fertility, said Sheynkin, and there is no bulletproof evidence that it would. But earlier research has shown that warming the scrotum more than one degree Celsius (1.8 degrees Fahrenheit) is enough to damage sperm.

AHHH HAAAAAA!!

SO THIS is how TPTB plan to conduct population control for the NWO. On that note, it's probably a good thing that a good portion of the WoW (World of Warcraft) generation do not procreate.

Makes you want to go out and buy a laptop cooler right now doesn't it?

aahhhahahah!

Must be the 'nut' in me...
But I was thinking this very thing the other day, as I sat with a laptop on my lap for about 3-4 days, while fixing it for someone...

several times a day I thought...
"man, this can't be good"... lol

and I also even thought.. " man, if this somehow does something to people, TPTB prolly already know about it,, and they are just loving the laptop craze!"

Hours and hours of sitting with a hot laptop, with the battery directly over your jewels....
just cannot be great for you. lol

thankfully I dont own one of my own,
and it is now returned to its owner... lol

But these very same thoughts did come into mind for those days when I was using a laptop on my lap for days on end. lol

See.... intuition.. it's always right! lol

moral of the story.. keep your cajones cool! lol

Nah, my family jewels are safely wrapped up in tinfoil. After all, that's where us men do all our thinking, and we wouldn't want those government brainwave scanners figuring out our next move! (I guess they could just ask our girlfriends/wives).

Put a cell phone to your head for 30 minutes... Thats not the battery warming your head. Lay a laptop on your lap and .. yes the battery and computer warm up. If its wireless thats the radiation warming your legs to. AND if your extremely unlucky you'll get one of those explosive lithium batteries takeing your boys out! Eh... Point is keep your cellular device and laptop far from the baby maker.

The next thing we'll find is that Dell, Apple and HP are producing ED and Low T drugs.

I don't doubt the claim though, nor the one with the phone in the pocket. Its the same logic as the boxers vs. briefs claims. Perhaps they should have a warning lable on laptops "DO NOT USE WHILE WEARING BOXERS"

Riding a bike with a bad saddle will have much the same effect, as will taking to many hot baths and wearing tight underwear that doesn't let the testes drop to reduce temperature.

I have never used a laptop on my lap, it's really uncomfortable to type in that position, and there are air vents on the bottom of mine so if you block them with fabric your going to get an overheating laptop as well as an overheating "gentleman's area"

No you can't pop corn with a cell phone, it's a complete myth, the videos on the net were viral marketing for a company called Cardo Systems that make Bluetooth headsets
