So it's not just plastic drinking bottles we need to worry about now...
Three recent studies have shown the chemical BPA is absorbed through the skin, and that people who routinely have contact with receipts laden with BPA
have higher than average levels of BPA in their bodies.

This stuff is in EVERYTHING that we consume our products from... And just in case you don't know what BPA or Bisphenol A is, or moreover, why you
should be concerned about it the next time you ask for a receipt...
A higher incidence of heart disease, diabetes and liver abnormalities in adults as well as brain and hormone development problems in fetuses and young
children have been indicated by scientists. Other tests have shown that bisphenol A can promote human breast cancer cell growth, decrease sperm counts
in rats, and cause erectile dysfunction and other sexual problems in men. Several other studies have shown that bisphenol A leaches from plastics and
resins when they are exposed to high temperatures (as in microwave ovens and dishwashers) or hard use. Because bisphenol A is used in so many common
products that we use every day - such as baby bottles, reusable water bottles, microwaveable containers, and the protective coating inside most food
and beverage cans - most people in developed countries are exposed almost continuously to some level of bisphenol A.
And finally, some more info... you can also just google it and see for yourself:

Doesn't it just light a fire in you that they allow things like this to be used in these kinds of ways and the FDA only investigates AFTER their are
health concerns raised?
I felt this was important to share with the ATS community since it isn't getting much attention elsewhere.
