Seriously.

I read a thread where some coward ass guy said he's going to flee because of how America has become or whatever.
Did any of you guys have any positive male figures in your life?
If you want something to change, you stay firm...stand strong..and resist.
My family is native to California, and back in the day....would march with Black Panthers for equal rights.

So I don't know about you, but standing up for what I believe in..is quite natural to me.. I don't know about you cowards but umm...

Stop saying you're going to do anything if all you do is sit on your ass and complain....March to the capital right now or shut the hell up man.

If you're not going to do anything about it, then shut up and take it like the little girls you are.
Friggin' Cowards!

It is not their fault America is like it is, and 1 person isn't going to change anything. The country is so corrupt in so many different ways it is impossible for any man or crowd of protesters to do anything to help, all they will be doing is making matters worse when the police show up and start throwing tear gas at the crowds and blowing them up. It is inevitable, so I advise anyone to get the hell out while they still can.

P.S is hell a bad word when used like that?

Yeah...I'm not planning on going anywhere short off a natural disaster on my heels. I would think most independent, free thinking, patriots who care about this county's direction would stick around and help this county to return to its' once greatness.

So?
Just because didn't make the mess, doesn't mean one shouldn't take up responsibility for it.
Sometimes I wouldn't even use a plate for dinner, but I would wash dishes anyways cause it was the right thing to do....

Take up in arms or shut up.
If you're going to flee... fine.
We don't need cowards in this country, maybe you guys can stop holding our troops hands behind their back while they fight too.

There's nothing wrong with going somewhere that's more in line with your political views. Nothing cowardice about that. I've heard people scream at immigrants to "go home" because they brag about their home country. Well, home is where the heart is. There's no way to march and rally to get literally everything you want and if somewhere else already has it than why not go? America is wonderful and great but it isn't a place that everyone can endure and label the best place is in the world.

lol I think you are taking this way too far, just because they flee does not make them a coward, just makes them happy in life because they are doing what they want to do. Now, you can stay put if you like paying money to an IRS all you're life and not getting anything in return, and a retirement that gets sold out by the time you retire, and a government that pays for welfare, prisoners to receive $100+ per pill top of the notch medication and health care, and illegal immigrants to take all of the jobs away leaving you with nothing. If you like living in a corrupted country like this then that is your own grave you are digging, not anyone else's, and no one is a coward if they leave. Personally I think they are making a wise decision by leaving America.

I'm not American, but I have to ask: what are you doing about the state of your country ?

It's easy to point fingers at others, but I'd be interested to know what steps you've taken to help correct the general situation in the USA.

People only have but one life to live. For a lot, and I mean a -lot- of people in the United States, life isn't so great, and no amount of promises for hope and change has altered that reality for them.

There is no "civil rights" issue, or just "one thing" needing change. It's everything, and absolute corruption. As they say, 'Absolute corruption, corrupts absolutely.'. With only one life, one single invaluable chance to live a life, many will choose to go elsewhere. For some, 'going to Canada' isn't enough, and nothing short of going to Europe will alleviate these people's battered will and psyche. France is a country of true patriots at the moment. Both the government and the people stand up for everything, regardless of what the rest of the world says. For their own liberty, not for starting needless wars of wanton destruction or the arrival of the "Patriot" act. Only simple liberty. A lot like Greece, but with a much greater success.

In line with my own political views and sensitivities to liberty and freedom, I would have rather grown up in a place like France. I don't feel it makes me a coward to say this, as an American. I served in the armed forces, overseas, for quite a few years. My willpower to wait and see through the trials of America's problems is waning, to say the least. Though through my own current predicament, I am wholly unable to live elsewhere. I would not view anyone as a coward or any other derogatory term, if they wish to live their lives in a better environment.

Quite possible that you are correct on that.

I remember a lot of celebrities have threatened to leave the country if this or that would have (and did) happen politically. Most of them didn't live up to their word, and I can't say that most of them are all that intelligent.

What do I want to change again?

Are my views similar, in any way, to redneck, bug-out, idiot America?

Here's the problem. I have no interest in Christian Theocracy. I have no love for the Military industrial complex. I have no love for corporate oligarchy, nor do I believe that lowering taxes, in and of itself, will create magic wealth that trickles down. I don't believe our schools do a very good job of educating our children, and I don't believe that most parents are any better.

Whose side should I be on when we march on Washington?

The so called "patriot movement" seems to think they are fighting for the constitution, but I have yet to see or hear a "Jefferson" among them. I am not afraid of the gays. Hell -- I love it when guys take themselves out of the competition for the hot girls. Power to the people, and all that nonsense. I am not interested in being lectured on family values by a hypocritical moron who believes in magic sky ponies from outer space. I don't watch a lot of TV. I don't care for tatoo'ed millionaires or their sports contracts.

What am I standing my ground and fighting for again?

This isn't an attack on you man. I am sure your heart is in the right place. Had you delivered this speech in person, I am sure John Wayne would be proud, but on the internet, it isn't very persuasive.

The problem with standing and fighting is that a good 30% of us (the magic independents) don't like either side enough to want to get into bed with them. That's why we are independents. We believe that far right kooks are just as onerous as far left kooks. The problem with the whole idea of culture war and revolution is binary thinking. Frankly, its an endless surge of two losing options.

There were never any "good old days" worth recapturing. Our prosperity after ww2 was largely due to the inability of the rest of the world to compete on an industrial basis due to war losses. Up until recently, blacks couldn't vote, women were encouraged to stay barefoot and pregnant and STFU, and gays were beaten to death by mobs of macho pick up truck driving morons with slogans on their tee-shirts and stylish imported jackboots. Hell -- the last one is still happening today.

What is your platform? How do you feel about people who are different then you are? What place does science and philosophy have in your life and how does it inform your thinking? What should be done with people who disagree with you? How would your movement return America to prosperity, create real jobs, and address wage inequality between the CEO's and those at the bottom of the corporate totem poll? What would you replace the credit and banking system with? What role, if any, do you believe the US should play in world affairs and nation building? Are you prepared to deal rationally and democratically with other Americans who don't agree with your views on important issues?

What was it....about 10% of the population that either took arms or supported the Declaration of Independence in an effort to have a better life for ourselves than that which the Brits had planned for us. I would guess that that number is higher today. But don't worry Torry's.....we'll cover your azzes again.

Cover us how, and from whom?

We can't even agree on what we are "fighting" for.

Much of the Tea Party platform is incomprehensible, and the rest sounds like the Taliban for white people with fish decals on their SUV's.

You gotta know when to hold em and when to fold em, and it is all in the eye of the beholder. Only the individual knows what is good for him and his kin.

How dare you all think that you are better than someone because they choose their own path through life, and it does not line up with yours.
