Yes, comets have also been shown to emit their own X-rays.
Swift Detects X-Ray Emissions From Comets.
I suppose there is a conventional explanation that describes this as being something other than what it really is.

Its probably dark matter, only it decided to become light matter.

Get it, "light" matter - hahhaha

I made a funny.

I took the other image, and put it in photoshop. I zoomed in and did smart sharpen once.

Strange stuff. My "little dude" looks like it is in a recess, and it is standing there with it's arms crossed?.........I need to lay off the moon anomoly threads I guess.

Corona is the right word for what you are observing.

Those are electrified plasma discharges:

that plasma discharge couldnt that be becouse the comet was spining around and it might have metals in it that conduct some kind of electric of something like that

For those interested this is a link to Wall Thornhill's latest article, posted on the 27th Oct.
Hartley 2 turned out to be a text book example compared next to his comments. Wall's one of the leading advocate's of electric comet theory BTW. Check it out!

Now that sounds plausable. Could you possible expand on that a little more?

That wonderful bearded man Richard Hoagland says that the engines are visible on this comet...

I have screencapped his intelligently drawn conclusion for posterity - here it is:

hahahaha

I have no doubt that NASA will try to cover these images up, but for reasons other than it being a spaceship.

I have a question about the distance from earth and the speed that the information travels back to us, maybe some experts could shed light on for me. I have no clue about it.
This comet is fairly distant from earth and the satellite just passed it and we already see the images here on earth?
So what kind signal is this, ie light, sound etc? Just curious because it seems the image came back fast. Again, I HAVE NO CLUE how this works, I am just asking the question to stop that pounding in my head I get when I try to figure distance, time and universal space relations in my head!

This comet isn't that far away from Earth right now.

Comet Hartley 2 has an orbital period of 6.46 years, perihelion distance (close approach to the Sun) of 1.05 AU and an aphelion (farthest distance from the Sun) of 5.87 AU (Earth is 1 AU from the Sun). At its greatest distance from the Sun it is just outside of the orbit of Jupiter so it really isn't that far away.

Signal time between the space craft and Earth shouldn't be more than a couple of minutes I would guess.

LOL

I started a thread over on the Bad Astronomy boards asking for input on the images.

I get this as a response:

"mnemeth, you are getting very close to advocating a non-mainstream opinion. Q&A is for asking questions and receiving mainstream answers to them. You can ask follow-up questions, but you can not challenge the mainstream answer in Q&A."

Followed by a ban that accuses me of being a sock-puppet.

It always blows my mind how scientists view anyone that questions the herd as being heretic that needs to be banned.

I didn't even get a chance to challenge the "mainstream", I got banned for brining up difficult to answer questions. Galileo was also banned by the religious establishment for questioning the mainstream. Since I find modern mainstream cosmology to be a religious belief, it makes sense that the modern day priests of theoretical physics would ban all who oppose them.

They fear plasma cosmology like the plague. Normal people don't ban people for engaging in scientific debate and bringing up valid (if at times perhaps misguided) questions. Only people that FEAR those questions would engage in such behavior. If they were confident in their theories, it should be a simple matter to smack down my questioning. Of course, they can't. So they ban.

It makes me so happy to know those commies are going to lose their jobs after the dollar implodes. They provide nothing useful and do nothing but lie for a living.

^This last post speaks volumes. Phil Plait is a moron.

Sad that some actually take his word as being trustworthy.

Why don't you post the whole quote? It reads:

mnemeth, you are getting very close to advocating a non-mainstream opinion. Q&A is for asking questions and receiving mainstream answers to them. You can ask follow-up questions, but you can not challenge the mainstream answer in Q&A. If you wish to advocate a non-mainstream interpretation of these pictures (or any other topic) you must do it in the Against The Mainstream (ATM) section of this forum.

You got banned because you didn't follow simple rules.

The Q&A section is for people who want to find out about mainstream astronomical thought. They don't want that particular section littered with conspiracy theories or "alternative" ideas because it makes it hard for readers to find conventional answers to questions they may have. They have a separate Against the Mainstream section for you to post your stuff in. In fact, there's even an "alternative physics" thread on Hartely 2 there already from someone who played by the rules.
