With the recent influx of so-called "Republicans" into Congress the stage is set for the next phase of the grand plan. Mark this date on your calendar: February 17, 2011 (approx). Speaker of the House Boehner will accuse House Democrats of obstructionism is the face of the Will of the People when Democrats voice mild consternation at a piece of legislation that some of them will vote for anyway.
Throughout 2011 we will see calls for Bipartisanism and bridge building from both sides of the aisle. This will only be a distraction from the real machinations of President Obama calling for Bipartisanism and bridgebuilding.
As 2012 approaches, not a whole heck of a lot will actually get done in Washington, as career politicians ramp up for the election season. $1000 a plate fund-raising dinners will be held by members of both parties, many of these attended by representatives of a identical interest groups.
By the time of 2012 Presidential election, the two major parties will be putting forth lukewarm candidates, neither of whom will really be of interest to the American People. As October 2012 rolls around, pundits of every stripe will be frothing at the mouth desperately trying to convince the world and (quite frankly) themselves that this deranged theatre of the absurd means something.
In the meantime government programs will proceed to be run incometently. Large corporations will demand tax breaks to stimulate job growth then pocket record profits. Labor Unions will claim to be exploited because they can only be guaranteed a 3.5% raise each year.
It will soon come to pass that nothing the people in Washington do actually matters aside from the fact that we still pay taxes. We will, in effect, become a society without a government. We will instead have babbling political odanists frantically engaged in an irritating circle jerk of self-aggrandizement and posturing. People will keep doing what they do, toiling at jobs that they hate, paying bills when they can, falling in love, making babies and capturing fleeting moments of happiness in an apolitical world where Government has collapsed into nothing more than meaningless theatre.
