'Middle-aged people are losing their jobs, and this guy's out doing his pet projects'
[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/00c4d82099c6.jpg[/atsimg] The President was at the school to address sixth graders and the press.
As Americans cast their ballots in the 2010 midterm elections, MSNBC anchor Chris Matthews, who famously said in 2008 he got a thrill up his leg
when listening to President Obama speak, is now blasting the commander in chief as a teleprompter-dependent "elitist" who doesn't listen to
American citizens. During a discussion with his network colleague Andrea Mitchell last night, Matthews analyzed the mistakes Obama has made
during his time in office. "Ever since he's been president, he's been elitist and he's come with his teleprompter and he's given his speech,"
said Matthews. "He hasn't listened. He's talked at us rather than with us." He again reiterated the president's dependence on the
electronic device to deliver most of his speeches, lamenting "He actually does bring the teleprompter with him."
Matthews contrasted
today's Obama with a different style during the 2008 race: "When he was a campaigner, he did nothing but talk about what a great country it is, what
an exceptional country it is, 'Because a guy like me can make it here, and only in a country like this can I have made it.' He was patriotic, very
inclusive and he was also very interactive in an interesting way."

Man, when the folks at MSNBC start to turn on you, you better know something isn't right with you.
Obama must have had a fit when he heard about this.... oh wait, he won't hear about it. Forgot, Tellie won't report bad news. Just good B.S.
Mathews is one of the first of a soon to be many. Disillusioned Obama freaks. Mathews will be beaten down and forced to say sorry and/or he was
mis-understood etc etc. And all will be good again in the ranks... until 2012.
The media would be slaying a republican for doing what Obama does with the utilization of the promter-but for Obama--no big deal. No sense
highlighting yet another blimp in Obamas abilities.
The great communicator--please.

Maybe Mr. Tingle woke up? He looked pretty dang foolish becoming an tingling Obamatron. He backed the wrong horse. Or maybe he hasn't woken up and
is just pandering to the mood of the country. That mood being - Obama is unqualified and can't handle the job, and we don't like the direction
he's taking us.
I find it funny. Obama was straight forward. He said he was going to FUNDAMENTALLY change this country. People voted for him knowing that he was
going to screw this country up. But they wanted it. Now that they are getting an Obamanation ... they are running for cover.
I hope he has woken up and isn't just pandering the to voting results in order to gain some viewers for his pathetic tv show.
Do you think it possible that this could be part of the agenda,to trash the president publicly on the msm to help get him out of office,do you
think the ptb would do that?with his rating going down and then the washington insider saying his mentality is declining I don't know, there are so
many head games being played it hard to tell what going on.Do they want him out before 2012?

Sorry pal not a Democrat here...I recall msnbc trashing him a while back...Perhaps I should have asked when this occurred but because someone
questions something does not mean they subscribe to it...look how quickly folks are judging me because of a question...relax

I stand corrected....apparently the video is recent...I may have been stuck on the oil spill backlash that were pointing at the failures of the
president from all sides... LINK
What is wrong with some of the people in this country?!!
Who cares if he uses a teleprompter.. Teddy was the last president (if my memory serves me correct) that actually wrote his own speeches. I mean
hell, all of those dumb politicos walk to the podium with there prepared speeches that someone else wrote.. using a teleprompter is just smarter
because he doesn't have to constantly look down to see what he's writing or forget his place.
You know what, this country is goin to hell in a hand basket. And it didn't just start when Obama came into office, this degradation started way
before that.
Say whatever you want, but when Clinton left office there was a surplus. After 8 years of dumb ass Bush, the engine light is on red, and now everyone
wants to point (politicians, not the people) fingers at everyone else. The damn politicians are the problem..
The problem is Obama can't speak without one-without sounding like a.... (be nice).... not well spoken person who one might think would/should be,
being he is the President etc.....
Have you not heard the many examples of Obama speaking without one?
I hate to be "that guy" but listen to the previous president, with or without teleprompter. There are oodles of reasons to disagree with Obama; this
one is weak.
Matthews' saying this really should not surprise anyone; he previously supported Bush and bashed the hell outta Hillary.

It's not weak at all, it just shows you that like the previous president the current one is just as bad. He cannot operate without someone guiding
him, not the kind of characteristics we want from a president who's supposed to lead us don't you think?
In that context, I completely agree with you. I just find it funny when people (usually Republican-supporters( attack Obama for his lack of speaking
finesse, when Bush was way worse. Though I have to say, at least Bush's mistakes were generally hilarious.
