there is shadow on the left of the 'ufo' corresponding with the shadows on the jets.

I noticed that too.

its not a flare.

Agreed. Definitely not a flare.

I still think its a golf ball.

I think thats a bit of a presumption. Whatever it is its unidentifiable. There simply isn't enough detail to make out a definitive image.

Its just a white globe. No size, no distance, no conclusions.

No, because if it was entering the atmosphere it would be burning up.

There is no evidence of this in the photograph.

Best wishes,
Slippery Jim.

Under 700X magnification the orb has top and bottom shading with a darker shading/trail on it's left.
Left to right motion?

Under 700x magnification everything is made up.

You say the object was "falling"...Did you see where it landed? Was there any other behavior exhibited by the object, other than "falling"? Did it waft about in the wind? Or plummet directly to the ground? Did it appear to be maneuvering, as if by intelligent design?

No, I did not see where it landed because I looked up at the planes again and lost sight of the object in that moment of inattention.

The object seemed to be falling quickly straight towards the ground. It didn't seem to be caught by the wind or floating. It didn't show any sign of intelligent control in the time I was watching it.

Tribble kindly pointed out that the pictures I posted had no EXIF data. Here is a link to the photos in Flickr where all the EXIF data is available.

Photos

I posted 4 pictures:
1) Uncropped picture taken 6 seconds before the picture with object
2) Uncropped picture of planes and object
3) Cropped picture of planes and object
4) Very cropped picture of object

You can use the "actions" menu to view larger versions of the photos or to see the EXIF info.

BTW, I originally said there were seven seconds between the first and second picture but I had made a rounding error when I calculated that. Not a big deal but just want to have everything out in the open.

This post made me look into test flares and such, used by F-15s. In each case- flares ignite and leave at least a smoke trail within 2 seconds of being deployed.

There are no white dummy flares that I could find.

This puzzlingly, is another pic of an unexplainable oddity.
