1. If this is indeed true or Daniel is the one being 'hoaxed', I dont understand why you couldn't respect his request by not posting his personal info for all to see.
2. Again...this is a stretch....but I would have to believe that if Daniels Uncle was, in fact, in outer space...with aliens...they would have the technology to be able to send things through outer space to 'our' internet. Again...a far stretch.
3. This would be a great premise for a movie. IMHO.

Putting things together, I would suggest attempting a contact while you sleep. Or if you are into meditation, that would be better. Put out an honest request, just as you drift off, and see what turns up. Don't grab, and treat anything you receive as a bonus.

There are other ways of contact than email. It appears to have been a last resort. And no one can fake a dream, not even the dreamer.

I've been following this thread with considerable interest.

Regarding the letter from the NASA administrator, I'll have to admt that the phrasing and/or wording is not the polished professional prose that one would expect from a NASA administrator. However the signature does seem to match the other letter that has been posted here even though the style is completely different.

The thought occurs to me that, if this is true, it is possible that the original letter was personally written by the administrator rather than having been written by a secretary/assistant who would have rendered a more polished "official" letter. If a program was as highly classified as something of this magnatude would most certainly be, it is entirely possible that none of the clerical staff had been read into the program and thus would not be entrusted with the names of persons involved or even the existance of the program or the "accident". All conjecture on my part to be sure, but it sure would be interesting to see an examplar of this administrators personal writings for comparison.

I shall continue to monitor this thread for developments. Thank you for sharing, Frodo, and I hope that this can be resolved for the sake of the family and yourself. Keep digging. This could be bigger than any of us know.

It never stated his Uncle was on the moon ! The pictures tell the story that were transmitted to earth via the server.

I agree. I don't think it's fair for people to post his personal info. Whether he's being hoaxed or he's doing the hoaxing, his personal info shouldn't be posted.

Even web-based email has an IP associated with it. Not just the generic IP of the host (google) but an IP address that can be traced to within a few miles. I've traced Hotmail's using the header info, from Jacksonville, FL to Phoenix, AZ. Web based email actually uses the client's (sender) IP address the same as POP3 client email.

For Gmail:

Log in to Gmail.
Open the message you'd like to view headers for.
Click the down arrow next to Reply, at the top-right of the message pane.
Select Show original.
The full headers will appear in a new window.

Cut and paste the contents of the resulting, cryptic window, here for review.

I'm sorry to say, but that letter appears to be written by someone who is not out of high school yet. There is no way that was written by a NASA Administrator. I'm sure they're very experienced in paper work, and communicating with their peers in writing, not to mention the whole college education thing. I could accept a spelling error, or a slight grammar mistake, but the mistakes were many, and obvious. Especially for a formal death declaration. It's an interesting story, but nothing more.

Well The info was already out there, I just brought it back into light. Are we searching for a missing person or debunking photos? It's all apart of investigation. Real or not real... If he is missing there should be proof. You just dont vanish and no news stories are not written about you. Everything has a paper trail. Getting to the bottom of this, should not be that hard.

that would of made the letter a little more credible.

If the undle did go missing, possiblly he faked the letter after he got canned for not going to work.
as for the pics/ my guess is NASA would of gave him a way better camera for planet hopping.

Just an idea..and Im sure it was requested before...but if a poster wants help..the more info the better..with the resources on ATS...you could find just about anyone with the right info...so name, dob, employment records..the letter..the email..etc..etc..

Looks more and more interesting.

When we assume that he is in a basecamp on the moon, it was probably easy for him to send an email attaching the pictures from surveillance cameras.

But the exif data suggests that these pictures were transmitted to a server on earth about 4 years back. Only plausible explanation for me, that the uncle got these pictures at that time and kept them. To be able to send them, if something like that happens to him...

Strange that he is on that basecamp now, where the pictures originated from and has even access to email, but not to the images taken by the surveillance cameras?

I have a few questions:

1. OP, the NASA letter mentioned that your aunt was notified of this, as well as a few other close family members. Can you present the NASA letter she/others was/were sent? Was she contacted by NASA via an e-mail as well, or regular mail? Did NASA offer any monetary compensation, and if so, is there any record of the same? I would imagine that NASA would offer some monetary compensation for the loss of an employee, especially in a case as tragic as this.

2. About the signature being real...let's assume it's real...can anyone verify whether the signature was inherent to the letter or added with photoshop? I am technologically dull, but I hope I am understood. OP, this is not to say you're a fraud, but this letter can be, and I imagine you'd want to get to the bottom of this as well.

Hello new member here! Nice post very interesting. Something tells me your pics might be from the movie 2010 starring the late Roy Schreider. someone please verify this. I found the movie in 11 parts on Youtube. I think it was part four six minutes fourty seconds in when they are probing Europa.

While everyone else is trying to figure out if this is a hoax or not, Im wondering if we aren't missing a big pat of the picture here, ie., the photos themselves, if this were to be true. Is there something there we should be looking at? Any anomalies? Something out of place perhaps? What is that disc shape thing in the second photo?

I mean IF this is all real, what is the uncle really trying to tell us with these photos? Just something to think about, just in case.
