To the true open minded individual there really is nothing here to investigate.

For all we know, the recorder just switched to another tape.
All we've really got is a guy leaving, then vomiting in front of the door.

Probably more likely that he ducked out to talk to some friends, got wasted, and was disoriented from an illegal substance...

Well according to Frakes in the video clip the tape returned normal and continued to record for 2 hours. They completely cut the 2 hours out and edited it so the abduction and return are back to back. As I said in my last post this places doubt on the authenticity of the video as its presented to the viewer.

I doubt the shows "experts" would have missed a switch in recordings or an edit if they were experts.

It's possible. LED lights are known cause a sort of flash distortion on cameras (at least digital, I'm not sure if it does the same thing with older cameras that record to VHS). One of his friends could have flashed one at the camera if LED were available at the time and they knew about the effect on the camera
