Right, I just had to post this up as it appears there has been a COMPLETE turnaround of events relating to the 'suspect packages' that have now suddenly developed into 'bombs' in the space of one night!

On friday night the story of the suspected packages and plain stoppages hit the news here in the UK. On friday night on the BBC news, one of the reporters had gone to the airport where the first suspect UPS package had been found.

The reporter said she had spoken to the airport security member who had found the device in the usual package scanning process, and it was flagged as suspicious as it looked unusual to have wires coming out of a print cartridge, and especially for it to have been posted from so far away.

This then lead to extra check of all other parcels due to the security risk, the US airports were notified and they did the same.

However the reporter then went on to say that all the suspect UK packages checked out were NOT found to be dangerous (and in fact were completely standard items) , and this is from the words DIRECTLY taken from the person who examined and found the package. The reporter then went on to say that all packages checked so far in the US were also cleared and safe, and the number found was down purely to the extra vigilance and opening any packages that looked slightly odd do to the increased security notification.

Then comes the conversion!

So I was away for the weekend and got back today, sitting in the pub reading the newspaper (the sunday times or independent I think), the front page article states that these packages were bombs, as with the US items now suddenly being declared as bombs, with suspects and targets etc!

HOW the hell did this occur overnight?! It seems to me very much like the government (or other related agency) saw this as a perfect opportunity to turn a completely innocent situation into a false flag event to produce the perfect opportunity to start up another war, and increase the focus on Al-Queda... handy timing after they have just done a video release with their group in the last few days.

So, my question to everyone on here is this...

1 Did anyone else hear the similar 'cleared items' report on the BBC, or on any other news agencies friday night?

2 Could the BBC reporter really have got the story so COMPLETELY wrong from what is now being said?

3 Or do you think it is a completely spun story to create more support for 'the war on terror' and create a new found focus on Al-Queda, as the supposed bomb threat hit two countries, and they just happened to release a video for the group just last week.

4 or have I completely missed something that has happened in the last two days?!

Yes,I heard a report on PBS or RT on educational TV that said the items were determined to be harmless too.

I wonder how they determined they were the opposite.

Listening to Obama yack about it,you hear the words "potential",and "apparently",which pretty much makes anything he says vague.

Sounds good to illiterate rednecks, but anyone with a knowledge of english knows it's intentionally made to sound like the truth, when in fact it is a falsehood.

It could be a ploy to get people to vote for those in power, and keep them in office.

As in,see what a good job we are doing?,nobody got blown up because of the measures we have implemented.

Haw Haw,Yah,OK.

Total BS,they were found outside of the U.S..

Yes i did hear it reported as you say. Originally on ATS as milittary aircraft escort interesting craft or words to that effect, i thought Obama was due to give the false disclosure and this was the get out???...... I guess stories change as the facts come out and these things evolve from hour to hour, but i do agree-its just more BS and smoke screen.

I also heard the story about there being no explosives before it was changed on Radio 4. They said it was probably a trial run, then the next thing I know the story had been completely changed.

No, I haven't heard that.

The only recent thing I've heard is that UPS doesn't even fly to Yemen!

That was on a utube video the hubby just watched.

Personally i think they make it all up. I worked for the bbc and know the mi5 corporation are useless at facts, just look at wmd iraq lol.

I am just amazed that these people think and act like people are so ignorant, that they cannot work stuff out.

People in intelligence have this thing about thinking they are smarter than you and i, so they can fool us all the time, lol.

I think it was another Mossad false flag !

they have a long history.

www.whale.to...

in just a few short days, we have many people "behind the scenes" getting PAID big money here!

all the overtime paid to all the "authorities" and their "staff" and their "advisers" etc. etc.

now the "contractors" get more "contracts" for MORE $$$$$ at YOUR expense !

the "authorities" can't seem to determine what really happened, and all the world "Leaders" do is make vague and general short comments ???????

even the Lawyers in Yemen get into the act with a complete "legal team" for the accused woman that they decided to let go a day later due to an "identity theft" no less !

every "security" company from here to the Arctic Circle will get rich(er) in a week or two!

all the MSM's get a little more $$ for a "premium" commercial ! Note that all the stations are "breaking" for commercials a little more often ?

by the way ... "What's in YOUR Wallet" ??

how does YOUR paycheck look these days ??

do YOU think YOUR taxes will decrease next year ??

the Yemen letting the woman who the US said was the key suspect go within 24 hours sounds very much like a huge 'FU' to the US government with them not being willing to let another innocent go down for Americas next cause.

I don't usually get so hyped up and make ridiculous claims on here, but this entire story seems to have taken a complete u-turn in the space of 48 hours, and I'm genuinely shocked by some of the 'facts' that are being stated by even the most respected papers and media channels over here! Given we were shown the tear down photo of the ink cartridge that was cleared and obviously had nothing inside it, how can anyone, especially an INTELLIGENCE agency (assuming that who is behind these stories) think we would all be that dumb that running a bombardment of 'altered' stories would make us all forget what we saw and heard 48 hours ago?! You could at the least run the story that it being something along the lines of 'under further investigation of the cleared devices, they were in fact found to be cunningly disguised explosive devices', rather than just brushing over the whole initial stories!

I've genuinely never been more shocked at the pure lies that every media channel seems to be spewing at the moment!

Just sums up what they do, i.e the media.

If you remember florida thing in 2000 election, you will see the willingness and farce of the media.

After my last 18 years, i am not sure what is intelligent about intelligence agencies, lol.

I posted here earlier today in a different thread about the suspect devices, it seems in the theme of this thread...hope the OP doesn't mind too much

Forensic analysis carried out on the Chicago-bound explosive packages intercepted in the UK and Dubai has indicated that the bomb-maker behind them also constructed the devices of the Yemeni failed “Christmas Day” attack last year.

Get ready for more restrictions and new laws to passed

It was only 4 days ago that the transport secretary for the UK had sounded intent to change the regulations on security checks at British airports.

Philip Hammond was responding to senior figures in the airline industry who had backed BA chairman Martin Broughton's attack on measures imposed by the US. Mr Broughton said many of the checks were "completely redundant". Mr Hammond said he would be allowing airlines to look at ways of "easing the passenger experience". Mr Broughton had criticised the US for imposing increased checks on US-bound flights but not on its own domestic services, saying the UK should stop "kowtowing" to US security demands. He said practices such as forcing passengers to take off their shoes should be abandoned, and questioned why laptop computers needed to be screened separately

Is it just a coincidence this was aired then 1 DAY later, suspect device was found at UK airport?

This is the situation as I heard it on CNN. They said these were bombs, it must have been yesterday. Anyway they kept repeating how helpful Arabia was in tracking the box numbers. It was obvious, especially after the sale of so many weapons that this was to bolster the reputation of who will be an important ally in the war for Iran. After the elections the war will begin. The fear created by the terrorism campaign is propaganda for the centuries old crusade against the middle east. The Arabs have always battled Persia and this makes them a perfect ally.

here's the problem with these "terrorists"

www.telegraph.co.uk... ml

no one can acually "verify" their identities or if they even exist.

does everybody here know that serveral of the 9/11 terrorists are alive and well ?

they were victims of ID theft ... the MSM's downplayed this fact .. don't know why?

news.bbc.co.uk...

too much Mossad I think.

I live in the UAE , in Dubai, and it was quite amusing to see the coverage in the local press - Chief of Police delares ina na article how great they are becuase they found the bomb......and later on it's mentioned that they had a tip off from Saudi Intelligence.

Coupled to that, a bizarre report on Sky news, which started with words to the effect of "Freight goods - piled up in Dubai......", as the reporter walks along the wharf next to the creek where all the crap and food comes in from Iran, India, etc....and certainly not the local FedEx or UPS depots, which are miles away near the airport, and the scene of the find.

Also, just to say, a UPS 747 went down in September in Dubai, as a result (possibly) of a fire in the hold which they are provisionally putting down to Lithium batteries in the hold........

Maybe the bombs were placed by governments to test how good our defense is, and to test how secure we really are. Also looks good of Obama as a political party play to boost ratings right before the election. It does seem very strange these bombs showing up right before election. It might be a good thing also though because atleast we know they can find some bombs in the mail if someone DID start mailing bombs all over soooo Ido feel secure in that atleast they FOUND the DAMN BOMBS atleast where people could of gotten killed if they never did this to test our defensives globally.

The idea of the hidden bomb story is to get people thinking that bombs can be transported by containers and can be very well hidden.

when a bomb does go off, the people are not suprised and will already be half sold on the idea, all they then have to do is somehow link the container carrying the bomb to a country you want to attack and you have your fall guy, even if it is a false flag operation, the media will tell you withing hours where the container came from and who sent it.
They quickly found 2 suspects who apparently masterminded and sent the ink cartridge bombs.

listn to the words where they say not all containers are searched and how hard it is to search them, we have been hearing for a while how difficult it is to search the millions of containers transported each year, this tells me that something will happen sooner than later as measures will now be put in place to stop any attack.

I will remind people of the recent article about Iranian weapons being found in containers, just a lucky find hey

I find it odd that we are led to believe 9 years ago Al Queada was able to fly 3 planes past the USA defence system undetected and make their target as planned.

Now we hear that 3 attempts to smuggle undetectable PETN onto planes have been uncovered and failed to go off.

One would think Al Quaeda would get better at what they do not worse.

Plus the three detected plots, shoe bomber, xmas day bomber and yemen bomb which use difficult to detect PETN are we to believe these are the only 3 attempts all of which got detected ? Common sense would tell you there must have been other attempts which would have escaped detection and got to target.

If there had been 1 or 2 or several incidents where devices actually went off then I could accept that some would be detected and prevented.

The official story just doesn't ring true for me.
