Hmm looked through NZE's youtube channel, closest reference to an area in Auckland was Silverdale for one of his orb vids... everything else just
indicates Auckland City. Which is quite interesting to say the least because well would you look at that...Silverdales about 4-5km from the North
Shore Aerodrome.
Interesting he has the 'NYC Oct 13th' earthcam(?) UFO vids as well but at least they put a ? by them... even though we know they where planes which to
me shows that NZE might have a particular outlook about them which could color their ability to discern things. Anyone who considers that event proof
of UFO's should have their own evidence heavily scrutinized.
He's got some interesting vids though that dont really look like planes all that much so I give NZE that, although most if not all could still be bad
focused shots of planes at a distance, knowing what capabilities their camera has in taking night time footage would be good. I do though like the
ones he has of the circular pattern of lights that then gets a bright orange light underneath, that one is interesting. Although in some frames it
looks exactly like a regular commercial airplane, tail light at back, central red light, and left and right wing lights either side of it.
One of the Orb vids sounds very suspicious, and looks like it could easily be Venus given my own personal experience viewing that planet, Seeing the
observation time is given as an hour or so it could well be Venus visible through partial cloud cover, its a rather fast setting planet to boot and
very colorful and scintillating as NZE describes and as you see in the vid. Also given the date of 19th of Oct and time of 8:44pm that would put Venus
around the right elevation to more or less take that hour to set. I know that with my own sighting 2 weeks back that Venus was setting more or less
around 9:20ish pm.
But I find his still shots showing Orbs leaving trails a little bit of a laugh, there identical to the effect you get when you set up a camera to take
a long exposure shot of a star at night while resting a camera on something or in your hands... ive got ones identical to it on my own camera I took
of the stars Rigel Kent and Hadar when I was experimenting with night photography 2 weeks ago. While he doesn't claim anything about the trails even
if they are photos of real orbs the fact their blurred and leaving those trails thanks to over exposure and a shaky hand and lack of a tripod ruins
anything the photo could provide as evidence.
Wish they had more info about each vid rather than half a sentence...
Another thing ive just thought of... he mentions he has an elevation for observation of 1350ft above sea level?... there's a slight problem with
that... thats 405 meters... I dont think theres any place in Auckland as far as I can remember that high, hell the top of Rangitoto is 260 meters and
its at Sea Level... hell the only place I could think that would be that height would be at the top of the Sky Tower which is 328 meters tall, not
sure of its height above Sea Level but id guess 40-60ish meters above sea level, its fairly close to the harbor. Even the Bombay Hills that sit at the
edge of Auckland are only around 314 meters above sea level from what I can find so where is this all encompassing vantage point NZE lays claim to?
Given the possible Silverdale local id say thats the region most of the vids where taken with the one posted and discussed in this thread having been
taken possibly at Long Bay beach towards the North Shore Aerodrome with the Okura scenic reserve being the wooded hills we see at the bottom of the
video?.. more than likely it may have even been taken at the Okura scenic reserve. Could be well wrong but it fits the area and its topology in my
mind.
If you read this NZE... throw us a bone and tell us the location you took the vids at it'll clear up a huge amount of guess work and will either
verify or vilify most of your claims. If you value finding answers Id greatly recommend it. (Think I might leave a Youtube comment asking about
it).
Edit:- Hmm scrap the Okura reserve idea above since in the vid you can see on the downward jerky pan its got some rather open farm land in the area.
Looking at it I THINK the sun is setting to the right of frame which if filmed from Silverdale or to the west of Silverdale looking towards the NS
aerodrome that would be in the right place ti would be setting. Also in the second vid in this thread its interesting that the light fades as it
begins to slow down and starts to drop, which could indicate a plane beginning moving into a turn. If you notice in the first vid the second light
also starts to fade and drop and then begins to move back towards the left in the exactly same spot as the light in the second vid begins to descend
at virtually the same height in relation to the 'branch'... this indicates a repeated pattern and a possible landing flight path for planes. That
second vid is very compressed and has lost a huge amount of detail...
Id say the two vids in this thread are nothing more than planes descending for landing at the NS aerodrome catching the light of the setting/just set
sun along with their own wing lights.
