Hello ATS!!

Has anyone seen or listened to the 1997 Art Bell with single seven (jonathan) is singles real name supposedly. I cant get this interiew out of my head and I keep thinking about it. I mean, What if this guy really was from 2063 like he claimed to be. And what if he was right about us discovering time travel in 2051. But one I dont get is why Jonathan or should I say single seven didnt say anything about 2012 or any other predictions like that. I mean everybody asked dumb questions that we should already know the answer to. LOL and then there was a guy who called and talked just like jonathan, long pauses between words and somewhat a sound of confusion in their voices. But this man calls Art bell and says that everything jonathan has said so far was pretty much disinformation of some kind. Now I am really having trouble believing this guy because of the sound of confusion and long pauses in between his words. Like he was reading from a script or something, Now I also have a hard time believing him because he claims he is from the future and the fact that he said our entertainment is totally different in 2063 which I seriously doubt is true. But what do you all think? C'mon ATS I wanna hear what you guys and girls think about this one? Lol

Are you speaking of John Titor?

He was supposedly a timre traveller from 2036 to bring back to his time an IBM 5100. Stated that he was from an alternate time line. But funny thing is that the time line that he talked about and the one that is happening to us right now are kind of close, although the dates are off.

That might be the one but I don't know. Didn't art interview 2 supposed time travelers?

I meant to post the YouTube videos. There are seven parts and the other guy already posted the whole audio file I believe. It's the third post on this thread. Thanks other guy

The entertainment is 100% different then it was in 1997, so that seems feasible. Whether or not a time traveler really went back to 1997 is sorta more difficult to fathom. Why not say something relavent to that time frame?

Exactly my point. He did not mention anything about 1997 and something else thats really weird is that Single Seven or jonathan as he liked to be called didnt even know what AREA 51 was or is. If your a time traveler i am damn sure you would know AREA 51 is.

if that is what you really like, checkout the following. they are amazing and I could not get them out of my head...

* John Titor - time traveller from 2047. all the details are on his web site
* Al Beilek - Mantauk project CD. He travelled to 2457, back to 2085 and then back to 1985. This was all part of the project at Mantauk Island - originally Philadelphia Experiment
* Dan Burisch (on project camelot as well) - they used both Looking Glass technology and StarGate to travel and view the future. Some amazing stuff
* Billy Meier - His UFO pictures are amazing. He went to the future and saw San Francisco in ruins. I ordered his glossy books, The best UFO photos anywhere and his travels to other planets are amazing

quite a few stories like this out there.

Many indicate that time travel is not possible, or that if it is possible, you cannot go back to your original past or the same timeline. All travel is in parallel possibilities, so it is cool to do but it would not be your future and it would not be your past, just another possibility.

I listened to the "Single Seven" (aka Johathan) interview on YouTube and found it highly entertaining. However it was not very plausible. He has just invented a little science fiction story. For example, at one point Jonathan talks about new forms of entertainment:

"What we do for entertainment there is neuro augmentation. I don't know how to explain it quite... like what you have now is the Internet. Picture the Internet, if you could take a plug, plug it into your mind and communicate that way with the thoughts of others..."

It occurs to me this image is a lot like Neo in The Matrix. I'm sure Jonathan got this idea from hearing about The Matrix which was in production at the time of the Art Bell interview.

The Single Seven show aired on Coast to Coast AM on July 30, 1998. Actor Joe Pantiliano was talking on TV about being cast in The Matrix movie earlier in March 1998. I'm guessing there were movie stills being published around July 1998 and Single Seven was inspired by them. However, the idea of "jacking into the matrix" was nothing new when Single Seven talks about it. It was a frequent subject of Cyberpunk novels, such as Neuromancer written by William Gibson in 1984.

The thing that bugs me about the interview is that nobody pins him down about anything. Nobody asks him, "Who is president in 2063?" Nobody asks him, "What is the name of the grocery store chain you shop at?" "What is the make and model of your car?"

Art really lets him off easy. The best he can do with the subject of time travel is to mumble something about "tachyon plasma bombardment." Sure, they had been talking about that on Star Trek the Next Generation since the 80's. The Single Seven interview was entertaining, but it was all just science fiction. Nice try though.

I just listened to this today. What an amazing story!

This guy seems very genuine. Everything makes sense to me because he doesn't know everything about everything. He admits when he doesnt remember and doesnt know. If someone were doing this for publicity or attention they would answer in fantastic ways. Or at least provide some BS answers to make it seem more like they're from the future. Basically, he doesn't try to PROVE that he's from the future. He just tells what he knows

Secondly, it only makes sense that our entertainment would be sexual and technological. All technologies, from fire to the internet have been used for sexual purposes. Sex for fun and technology are two distinctly human traits and its logical that we would continue to use technology for sexual pleasure culminating in Roman orgies over the internet like he describes.

He also doesn't know much about the Y2K "crisis" that came around. I feel like if he was faking it he'd throw out a whole bunch of doom and gloom about comptuers. Instead, as we know now, nothing really happened. Looking back on it from after 2000, this lends Jonathon even more credibility.

He doesnt talk like a liar. There are definite speech patterns and ways that people talk when they're making something up. If he was lying he probably wouldnt have taken calls from the audience because itd be easier to catch him in a lie if they asked a really good question.

Why did no one ask when the Mims come? Why did no one ask when the war started? Asking about Bill Clinton? Seriously?

I'm surprised he was so confused about crop circles.

I personally believe that Single Seven was a "plant" or someone that Art purposefully guided on the air in order to help weave such an entertaining story, mostly for ratings/listeners. It is still a business after all...

I am digging up old threads. Mainly because I am so new I cannot start my own thread to pen down these thoughts, but also because, as a new member I want to read about them.

I'm sure no one will immediately see this post, but someday, someone else will dig up this thread and be able to see this.

I have listened to the Single Seven interview so many times. It is one of my favorites. I even have it bookmarked, and downloaded.

While listening to ANOTHER classic show, I heard the guy calling in again, different night, different story, different name but same speech pattern, same tone, same voice, same verbiage, same time span... everything.

I played two of these questionable shows at the same time. It got very difficult to tell which character was speaking on which call. I knew at that instant that Single Seven is "Brian", "Steve", "Jonathon" along with many other callers.. but mainly the Area-51 Caller.

I am going to compile a list of clips and calls that he has made to Art Bell. I will also eventually have the ability to start my own thread. I can then get everything organized, compiled, explained, but until then-- thanks for letting me use your space!

Things to note before watching comparison:
1) Single Seven is calm... "Jonathon" relaxed Character.
2) Area-51 Caller is franctic. "Ex-A51 Worker" is a scared character.
3) hoaxer Call back is nervous. "Brian" is coming out with the truth and has no idea of the outcome.

Taking those into account, you can then listen to how the words are pronounced and draw your own conclusions.

Single Seven

Area-51 Caller

Call Back

Again, thanks. I love these calls, even if they are hoaxes. They just never get old to me.

Sounds the same, but idk. The show seems to have an agenda on its own
