Obama on CNN addressing Terroist Threat

I know I got a not so subtle reminder about Israel. There was an Israeli airliner sitting right next to the UAE airliner with the star of david very prominantly visible from the helivopter providing the news footage.

I am sure it was just coincidence; however, the proximity was noticable.

A preface to my post:

I am not a "conspiracist" - I joined this site mainly to tell a family UFO story but I have been looking at other things here.

Why does nearly every current event have to be a conspiracy in the eyes of many people here?

- What is said to be a terrorist dry run: "Oh no, it's behind-the-scenes government work to influence the election!"
- Strong storms in early fall: "Oh no, it's HAARP and chemtrails!"

No matter what it is, there has to be a conspiracy behind it? It's really mind-boggling at times.

It is in the nature of the site. Notice also that some people are more sceptical on certain subjects than others, and that variation differs from person to person.

I, for example have never seen any reason to trust government and fully expect them to do stuff like false flag attacks, expecially in our age of media and popular opinion control. I do not, however, believe that HAARP is much more than what it is advertised as.

It is also because the people see the dramatization of everything and we assume there must be some agenda behind it. The explanation that our news is over dramatized just to sell more advertising is a bit too simplistic to be satisfactory.

It is obvious that the news is more important in drama and video and speculation than they are in facts, but what isn't obvious is the reason why. Is it because some controlling interest has an agenda? Is it some nefarios plot to control the population? Or is it just plain and simple Capitalism and opportunisitic reporting to grab viewers to get ratings to make more money?

I'm thinking that in the next day or two we're gonna see some kind of "emergency measure" that simply must be put into place to "combat the new terrorist threat."

I hope I'm wrong.
