Hello ATS, I did a quick search that yielded no results. But anyways I found this video on Youtube and would like to get the community's take on it.
From what I can gather it was a cd found on Mars with a message on it. I couldn't find anything on the Net about it. YouTube
Text at bottom of video -
"In 1976, NASA, under the directions of the American government and the C.I.A. launched the Viking Mission with the goal of landing on the surface of
Mars and carrying out experiments designed to test for the presence of microbial life. However, the Forde adminstration already knew that there was
life on Mars, curious signals emanating from the Red planet were of intelligent origin. The Viking lander was in fact a return sample mission, it
brought back with it a small disc, not unlike the CD's which a few years later would revolutionise the digital world.......there was a message on
that disc. It is shown here for the first time."
Yeah it is kind of depressing in a way. But the cd found on mars could be a load of BS. But the general message it has seems like it could be
authentic. I'm not sure what to make of it.
I don't know how to feel about this video... It does seem there is a lot compassion behind his words. Whether it's real or not...It does make me
ashamed of how we live. I think that was the point... Well... all we can say is (if this is not a hoax youtube vid) Thanks anyways for trying to
protect us. I think most of us already know what they are basically trying to tell us... "We suck" dang it
There is so much wrong with this video but just for starters why does the alien have an Irish accent? and why is it using a voice scrambler? this is
just...........such..........a.........huge FAIL.
Didn't make me sad, it made me laugh.
im sure the vid potrayed a nice message, but i found most of it unwatchable due to constant static and unreadable text. and having someone try to
convince me english speaking aliens are leaving cd's for us on mars
Oh please, we've all left CD's places before - in a CD case, down the back of the CD player, side pocket of the car door, etc. All makes sense to
me. Home entertainment system the size of a planet, now that's impressive.
Is he laughing at that mans voice? Well, I think I would have laughed too, and if I were that man with the little tiny voice I would have stood up and
socked that reporter in the face. Damn funny video.
i say who cares whats real or fake and if it has a message all should u use to make a better world then lets believe in stuff so out there it cant be
real...if thats what makes us become a better species for ourselves and our planet!
I've never heard a hint of the idea that either of the Viking missions ever returned to Earth, or could have. This alleged extraterrestrial seems
unduly pessimistic. We did invent the fission (A) bomb, and the Fusion (H) bomb, but tests of neither of these 'destroyed the atmosphere' as he
would have it. We have had both for six decades, used the former only twice in war, shortly after its invention, and the other not at all. Their use
seems far less likely now than it once did. We saw what we were doing to the ozone layer, and corrected this. The holes over the poles are gradually
closing. Odd that extraterrestrials with a self-professed abundance of time to wait and watch are so quick to write us off. I hope that we may hear
from a more optimistic species. Ross
- Though the "CD" was found on Mars in 1976 the CD was not invented until 1982. How did they know what to do with it?
- CD's are Audio only.
- The DVD was not invented until 1993.
