Mature, open-minds know that disagreement, even vehement disagreement, is not trolling. In fact, accusing people of trolling simply because they are disagreeing is itself trolling. You whined in the other thread that people (namely myself) who think hoaxers showed be severely punished are trying to silence those they disagree with. Accusing those who disagree with you of being trolls is trying to silence opposing viewpoints. If you want only viewpoints that agree with your's, perhaps you are not suited for a discussion forum.

It's hard to go downhill when you start at the bottom of the hill to begin with.

The first season made me cry. It was horrid.

True, true. But deep down we both know that opening a Wilcock thread is great for trolling! It's bound to be a cornucopia of sitting ducks in a barrel(?!).

Fishing and duck hunting are not the same as trolling, even as much as the ducks and fish want to claim it is.

where is your thread contribution, I only see you talk about trolling. Which IMO is itself trolling.

Season two best not be all about religious misinterpratation, episodes 1 and 2 were good. That's bout all
still looking foreward to what's in store for season 2.

To the OP... what was the best thing they showed from the Ancients on season one? Haven't watched so convince me it's worth my time...

as for the the David Wilcocks thing i could care less
This thread is not about him
this thread is about ancient aliens season 2
i thought the 1st season brought up a lot of good points
like where are the summits to the mountains where the Nasca lines are drawn???
ancient people wer so bored that they tore the tops off of mountains an smoothed them out???
really???
why????

In my opinion, the only good thing about 'ancient aliens' is some people will find an interest in real history if they have the sense to check the BS these shows sell. We've barely gotten into space and we've already left behind stone blocks as a primary building material. Bricks are cheaper, stronger, lighter and able to bear greater loads. Plastics and alloys are used for reinforcement.

Why would someone capable of interplanetary space travel come down and start building with stone blocks? Why would they use different styles and techniques in different nations?
Why would they use antlers, rocks and basic metals like iron, copper and bronze?

If they could travel space, would they need landing strips and creatures drawn in the deserts to find their way? We've already got sat-nav and GPRS and can barely send people to the Moon.

I would hope they become interested in legitimate history as opposed to the misinterpreted and fabricated history these shows sell. I would hope those who have an interest in history seek out sources for themselves instead of relying solely on this series.

That being said, I was a bit harsh in my earlier assessment. I do enjoy watching it, despite itself, despite myself.

By the way op, thanks for the heads up. I don't watch much tv so without you I most likely would have missed out. Unfortunatly I don't have cable or satellite so I have to pay for individaul shows or seasons via apple tv ( if I want HD, or else there's the net). Ancient aliens turned out good but I do t know about $10 good.
Maybe i'll wait for some feedback on these episode before I pay

I just really don't like that one guy with the messy dark hair that constantly says... They were real flesh and blood e.t.'s that were misinterprated. He's anoying as ****

All good questions if i may say.

Although the fact that buildings built from stone are still standing today after many thousands of years, is testament to stone and rock's resilience and durability as a construction material.

Add that it's easily available just about everywhere on Earth, and is fairly simple to work with, it makes sense to use it.

I personally don't think ancient ET's 'had' to build anything to facilitate their navigation, landings or anything of the sort...i think that we humans built these things in order to attract the ET's back again.

Similar to the way the natives on Borneo built full scale models of aircraft dotted around their settlements in order to attract the real aircraft back, which had landed in the 70's and dropped off supplies and gifts to the indigenous people.

They simply wanted the 'sky gods' to return and bring them more food, gifts and medicines...which is IMO, exactly what the Nazca lines and pictogram arrangements are for too.

Now, whether or not these ancient and advanced visitors to the Nazca people were actually ET's or a surviving advanced remnant of a previous human high technology society is arguable.

Either way, i think the lines and images of Nazca, and other ancient or neolithic constructions around the world represent similar human attempts designed to attract back the 'sky gods' with whom they'd had a positive prior meetings or interaction.

Hiya Spikey, great weather huh? I hate autumn...stupid season

There's a stack of evidence that the Nazcans designed these pictograms to represent the pantheon of their spirits and gods. The same symbols have been carved into rocks and depicted in pottery across the South Americas. There are even similar lines in the Bolivian tundra.

These people lived in a seriously harsh environment and weather was critical to their survival. They pretty much lived a subsistence life-style. In some parts of the lines have been found 'river rocks' and shells' These are traditional offerings to the water spirits and a request for enough rain. It's a tradition found across the world. Even us throwing money in the old wishing well is from the same beliefs originally. (more detail here)

My questions about the building with rock and using transitional stone age/bronze age tools were to show that people really did build them. The evidence is very strong and supported across multiple disciplines. The only evidence for 'aliens did it' is how some people can't comprehend the achievements of Humanity and seek instead to give them all away to aliens. Point for point, the 'ancient aliens' notion is like Tony Montana at the end of Scarface...

Hiya Kandinsky.

Yeah, lovely weather isn't it! They reckon a really bad winter this year, very cold so...hope we have enough fire logs to last 'till Spring..

I don't see why the question of who built the majority of the Earths ancient monuments has to be either ET or ancient humans...i don't really see why the two scenarios are mutually exclusive.

From the archaeological record, it seems clear to me that our ancestors did possess the technological ability to build pretty much any of what is left for us to study, but in a similar vein, i don't see why ET couldn't have had a hand in assisting us on occasion either.

Many tribal and ancient people have as a central cultural theme, 'visitor' gods, mostly originating from the sky in ships (or sky chariots etc), although sometimes coming from the sea, who supposedly taught them mathematics, medicine, astronomy and other advanced technological concepts, including metallurgy and stone masonry.

Many, many human belief systems have these stories as a central theme of their oral and written traditions, some of them bewilderingly detailed in their recounts of these meetings.

So, my own point of view is that we humans were actually the one's who built the stuff, and ET (or a terrestrial advanced race), at some point in time, could be looked upon as 'technical advisors', in much the same way as 1st world engineers and learned people, visit, help and teach 3rd world peoples today.

The people being taught do the actual constructions, and the teachers simply pass on techniques and knowledge.

There's no real way to prove this as far as i know, but my opinion is that if ET (or a post cataclysmic ancient '1st world' people) did actually act as teachers and were worshiped as god figures by their ancient 3rd world students, many of the constructions we see surviving, may have come after the advisors had departed as a tribute or a kind of invitation...a neolithic welcome mat, as it were for those that helped.

Who knows eh.

I enjoyed season 1 and look forward to season 2.
I try and keep an open mind, and it sure beats the October Disclosure we had recently.
