Yeah I was reading this earlier on, I notice Nick Pope got his nose in as always with Sun reports of UFO's… can't tell what that object is from the picture, looks a bit like the US balloon pic somewhat, the witness's lend a small amount of credibility as there appears to been a few who saw it but without video footage and clearer pictures who knows what it was?

And "it's the Sun"… you'll get many people slating this sighting purely because it was reported in this tabloid...

Heh, yeah… I remember the ol'bus on the moon, I think the first thing the reporters working for the Sun do when dealing with a sighting/story of UFO's is ring Mr Pope for a quote… he must be on their payroll or something I duno?

I posted a ghost story with a picture some time ago from the Sun here on AST and I consequently got a hammering for it, so I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what the picture was and if it was faked.. Turns out it was and the person doing it had reasons for supplying it as a hoax… let's see where this goes.. I'll get me popcorn out

Hi Maybe,

Agree image looks a little odd to the detail of the house (picture on left) and agree with other reply it will probably get slated as its in The Sun newspaper! Title comment (ET bah gum ... the craft over town of Rotherham)

Me neither as the circled portion doesn't relate to the other part of the picture ?

I'm going to see if I can contact the girl mentioned in the article through Facebook and see if any images are available

Typical Sun coverage on a quiet news day. Tampered image that essentially shows nothing and short blurb.

In 2007 these guys convinced the gullible sections of Britain that there was a plague of Great White Sharks in the waters. There's never been a Great White within hundreds of miles of the south coast. They just went ahead and made it up to shift copy. No BS!

I don't have any issues with Nick Pope making a living, but if he's really going to comment on stuff like this...

Sorry to # on everything, but I was just in a thread on /b/ where the assholes were celebrating their success. Apparently this was a widely perpetuated hoax. Nothing to see here, move along.

Thanks for posting this.

Who's really the assholes here?

Some guys having a laugh or paid journalists (professionals) publishing something obviously fake and depicting it as true?

well done, just read this. the Sun has ufo pictures almost 5-6 times a year. some good pictures, too. i love the trail it leaves in the main picture. what might it be? Nick Pope says the special military stuff is not tested out side of certain restricted areas..

For a start i would'nt listen to anything nick pope has to say. He's a government stooge thats trying to mingle with us and make us look stupid.

No thanks nick, i'll make myself look stupid thank you very much

With all the witnesses, is that the best picture anyone could get? Someone must have had a video camera or phone handy.

Im reserving judgment untill more comes out about it.

Thanks for posting though.

Just a point of order..It wasn't the Sun who ran the *London Bus on the Moon" story it was a paper called the "Daily Sport". The Daily Sport is like the National Enquirer but with a higher nipple quotient.
