totally off base here...
Daniel actually has the king reigning for the whole "week". What happens in the middle of it is that he comes out as the enemy of God. So in the
second half of the week he's "causing sacrifices to cease" etc- and in the first half, presumably, he isn't. Just behaving normally
The key verse which shows this period as beginning after the Horsemen is actually ch8 v1; "There was silence in heaven for half an hour". If you
want to know my reasons for saying so, the whole argument is spelled out very carefully, step by step, as clearly and logically as I knew how to do
it, in the attached thread;
Time, times, and half a time
Having spelled it all out once, I don't want to repeat myself.
But a brief summary goes lke this;
a) The "Week" (or "7 years") when the king reigns according to Daniel is to be identified with the "Hour" when the king reigns, according to
Revelation.(ch17 v12)
b) The "half an hour" mentioned in ch8 v1 is the
first half of that Hour.
c) ch8 v1 comes after the Four Horsemen.
d) So the first "half-hour" comes after the Horsemen, which means the whole Hour comes after the Horsemen, which means the Week comes after the
Horsemen.
I refer you to the linked thread if you want any more details.
