This is a clip from "The Hitchiker's guide to the galaxy" -2005
At time stop 0:13 to 0:15 there is some tail walking
done with his trainer in tow. But documentation
of the dolphins teaching each other is
just too cool. And new to me.

If the wild dolphins are learning how to do new tricks from the caught-then-released dolphins, that's very cool. It'll be interesting to see if other pods are learning the trick and spreading it around the world in the next few decades.

if only we could somehow know how that culture functions. not sure beings like that should be held in captivity like they are. i guess all animals do some sort of playing when given enough space. lots of unnatural type stuff going on lately.

well before i miss my chance - so long, and thanks for all the fish.

It looked more like they were trying to tail walk. But give them time. They certainly are "man's best friend" of the sea.

We are certainly on our way, over time we will know alot more, that is if we STOP polluting and removing them from our oceans.....grrrrr !!

I agree

Though, If they are looked after, and only there for learning purposes, and released back into the wild, then I feel its all good.

Absolutely my friend, I have seen a change in character in birds and other wildlife over the past year or so. Something is happening on our planet, a conscious shift perhaps?

Not sure if someone mentioned this or not, but did you know Dolphins are the only animal (other than man) who have sex just for the joy of it?.

I watched that video on the news last night! I was very happy to see such news (it was the only GOOD news that night!)
I absolutely love dolphins. They are like misunderstood family members to me. I wish I could be with them.

and WOW @ the dolphins being midwives

Thats the coolest ever! If I ever decide to have kids I am def going with that!
