Africa now and Africa 1000 years ago - the difference? Only the T-Shirts.

What a mess of a continent.

This is downright inhumane and the people
doing this deserve worse to themselves.

You understand, don't you, that this is exactly the thought process that led to these people being burned?

Human beings have no right to Judge and Execute other human beings.

Make up your mind.

You are one of the reasons why there is hate between ridiculous lies or in other words "religions". Why? Because you defend your lies to much and consider other lies ridiculous lies, while you still believe in nearly the same lies.

Oh i hate those jews who think they are superior than any one whos not jew.
You are not better than any other religion, just another naive lie believer. Get real and research, including religions but not religious propagandas like you did on judeism, search anything question anything!

Don't shot the messenger. Shot the writer. Which is God and God cannot die.
Sorry but I believe what I call truth in life.

I hate the religions people of earth have right now. It gives them excuses for inhumane practices such as this. Just unbelievable. As much as i pray and meditate about it, i never feel like love is winning. I want to go to Africa with an assault riffle an mow all these hateful beings down. Which is just proving my concern. The cycle goes on..

To the original poster: nothing too graphic about this video. Internet is filled with a lot worse things.

I'm constantly amazed at things images like this... not because they happen, but because people are amazed that things like this DO happen. People make statements like, "How in this day and age can things like that happen?" It seems that people have this startling misconception that we have some how moved past beating each other over the heads with rocks then striking the match. Don't get me wrong the people who did this deserve what ever comes down the pike at them. Just awed that people can be awed by what miserable violent #s we truly are.

Who said these people acting like animals - actually worse - claimed to be Christians?

Ah, to hell with religion - its the dumbest thing humanity ever invented.

These animals doing that to those people have a problem that a .30 cal SMG could cure in a few moments.

I married a witch, actually a Wiccan. She was the kindest person I ever met. She only practiced the "craft" to try to help people and animals. I don't believe in it, but sometimes she surprised me.

If most people were like she was, the world would be a far better place.

ive seen this video quite some time ago, quite sad really. It is a failure that these kind of practices still are happening in some parts of the still developing world, but you know what? it's safe to assume that every dark thought that has manifested in ones mind is being acted out somewhere by some individual that needs to be put on the right path again.. These people who are doing the burning i pity them, they need proper education and somone to shed light on what they are doing.. They need to be shown the way because they probably dont know any better.. i would like to quote ghandi when he said " An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind " we should learn not to get angry, bite the bullet and try to enlighten others, help them understand what they are doing becuase no doubt they dont know any better..

I clicked your link just to see what it was about, and didn't watch the whole thing...I seen this vid before a couple of years ago, no point in watching it again. But ya humanity is a retarded species, #ing burning witches my ass, if they were withches they wouldn't sit there while they burn, probably turn them to frogs or something, some poor souls on the wrong end of a silly power structure believe system, "power and control by means of a scapegoat that cant fight back", that is what you see in that vid, same as the witch hunts they had in europe and other places all over the world, for the same reasons. And ya there are more disturbing vids out there then this.

Why is this shocking? We used to do this HERE in America...are we any better?
In fact, we still burn the "witches" now anywhere we occupy. Only we dont use leaves and twigs...we use DU, and high explosive.

I have lived and worked in Uganda and travelled throughout Africa.
Not disagreeing about the evils of colonialism etc but I have heard black Africans begging us to come back saying 'at least things worked then'. Because mostly these countries have not been able to maintain the structures left to them. Buildings have fallen into disrepair and everything is shambolic and mostly corrupt. Most of Africa is still propped up by huge amounts of aid. Aid because of our collective guilt for the evils of slavery (which Africans invented quite nicely without our help) and for political reasons. Even the more modern parts of Africa are still very tribal and the old ways exist alongside christianity, mobile phones and fast food outlets. Old ways like child sacrifices, witch burning and other horrors. You may still see someone beaten to death by a mob for stealing a banana off a stall.
Do not be fooled by the superficial gloss of civilisation and the modernity of some of the capitals. Just go to the squalid city suburbs and then a bit out into the sticks. You will see that most people are still living as they did hundreds of years back. Perhaps it's even worse because of the juxtaposition of modernity and they can see how others live. Their leaders however live lives of luxury beyond the reach of most of us in the developed West.
Why have they moved on so little? Well that's a whole other debate.

I agree wholeheartedly. People DO have this startling misconception that humanity has somehow evolved out of the clutches of its primitive state and its most basic instincts.Oh but we have Blackberries and I-pads now, we are civilized.I live in a third world "country" and you would be surprised how many crimes against nature, human rights and especially, minorities go unnoticed and even applauded by the general majority... A majority tha is, of course, Christian.

Truth be told, this video seems like a reenactment taken out of the book of Leviticus.

I really don't blame you, this video is disturbing on so many levels. Also the fact that there is a huge crowd cheering for this. And do they really need to beat them whilst they are being burnt?... Isn't burning enough for these evil people?

I prefer that they are also beating them - all the way through I was wishing that they would have the mercy of being unconscious through that ordeal.

I would absolutely wish to be beaten unconscious in that environment - rather than sit and feel myself burn slowly.

The poor man in the white shirt, completely given up to his fate, sitting with his legs slowly burning.

There's no end to the pain we put each other through.

When I watched this, I felt like jumping into that location and breaking all their necks and then shooting the burnt victims in the head to put them out of their misery. This is terrible.

You make a lot of assumptions with this video. There is no way of knowing what they are truly saying unless you can find someone to speak their language. This may not be a witch burning at all. Brutal yes, but Africans have very different beliefs than most and should be allowed to have them. There is a tribe that the women are honored to be whipped brutally and have full choice whether to do it or not.
Part of the problem we have here in in the world outside of a particular event is "We judge based upon our own beliefs not on learning and understanding anothers."
Not that I believe this but they may do this to kill lice, or god knows what. Yes I saw the drop kicking and things, but it doesn't seem to be a fire to actually kill someone. Unlike the Spanish invaders in South America that put people on slow roasting funeral pyres in clumps of 13 or so. Or how about Thomas Jefferson(This May have been George Washington) who had blankets infected with Smallpox delivered to Native Americans?
You may want to consider looking in the mirror at the not so distance past before. Fix what is at home first then look outward, don't be a hypocrite.
