just to add, the kite theory doesn't make sense because the moon is seen by all parts of the world, at different times, and not just at one set location, as would be true in the kite situation.
Not that you should need more proof that the moon does, indeed, rotate.

Funny huh, how they went to the moon some time ago, and then just stopped, you would think nasa or the government would of at the least drill or dig some holes in it to get a better sample of what is there, or in there. To see once and for all if the moon is more then just a rock in the sky. We assume much of what the moon is and were it came from, but till you at the least set up some mining or drilling operations its pretty much educated speculation if even that........ The moon one of the biggest mysteries and conspiracy, that is right in front of your nose and the whole world's sight?.... Or just a big rock?

The moon is not exactly hollow, but there is much open space within. The striation marks are from the binding of the structure together. The very white crater points on the axis's are the 'welded' points. The actual process defined is similar to welding.

Hint: Trueman show, what was in the moon?

Title= True Man.

Or, the truth of Man.

As always, a movie has a cue for Alice, while she is peering through the looking glass.

Think and try to find justification for the huge effort it would take to make a space station that not only looked like a natural moon but was just as big. Does it make any sense and I haven't even mentioned, until now, the bother of moving the thing around the solar system. Sheesh. Why not just go to the dark side and bore some holes and move in? Why can't it be easy like that? Hey I thought aliens were smarter than us.

Read through most of the posts and didn't find this, I know alot of the info has been sited herebut is an interesting read -

www.disinfo.com...
Who Parked The Moon?
Despite six announced visits by U.S. astronauts between 1969 and 1972, the Moon remains a riddle to scientists in many regards. The solutions to these riddles could indicate an alien aspect of our familiar Moon.
Called “the Rosetta Stone of the planets” by Dr. Robert Jastrow, the first chairman of NASA’s Lunar Exploration Committee, scientists had hoped by studying the composition of the Moon, to resolve some of the mysteries of how our planet and solar system came into existence.
However, six Moon landings later, science writer Earl Ubell declared, “… the lunar Rosetta Stone remains a mystery. The Moon is more complicated than anyone expected; it is not simply a kind of billiard ball frozen in space and time, as many scientists had believed. Few of the fundamental questions have been answered, but the Apollo rocks and recordings have spawned a score of mysteries, a few truly breath-stopping.”
Among these “breath-stopping” mysteries or anomalies as scientists prefer to call them is the fact that the Moon is far older than previously imagined, perhaps even much older than the Earth and Sun. By examining tracks burned into Moon rocks by cosmic rays, scientists have dated them as billions of years old. Some have been dated back 4.5 billion years, far older than the Earth and nearly as old as the solar system.
The Moon has at least three distinct layers of rocks. Contrary to the idea that heavier objects sink, the heavier rocks are found on the surface. And there is a definite disparity in the distribution of minerals. Ubell asked, “If the Earth and Moon were created at the same time, near each other, why has one body got all the iron [the Earth] and the other [the Moon] not much?” asked Ubell. “The differences suggest that Earth and Moon came into being far from each other, an idea that stumbles over the inability of astrophysicists to explain how exactly the Moon became a satellite of the Earth.”
The Moon is extremely dry and does not appear to have ever had water in any substantial amounts. None of the Moon rocks, regardless of where they were found, contained free water or even water molecules bound into the minerals. Yet Apollo 16 astronauts found Moon rocks that contained bits of rusted iron. Since oxidation requires oxygen and free hydrogen, this rust indicates there must be water somewhere on the Moon...

My hypothesis. The Moon doesn't seem to be as damaged by large meteors because it doesn't have as much gravity to increase the impact.

And as for the tidal lock orbit. The Moon has more mass on the far side. So the centrifugal force pushes the heavier side of the Moon away from Earth. That would be more likely than some random chance.

Now I'm thinking the heavier part of the Moon might be facing the Earth due to the gravity of the Earth instead. Of course I haven't done any research on the excepted theory of what causes tidal lock. I didn't want my thoughts influenced by the excepted theory.

Thanks for the opportunity to read the article, raising some huge issues, particularly liked the last para, which, presuming the info in the article is correct, sums up the attitude of society in the way way we totally ignore this massive "anomaly".

Another great post in this thread !

With a lot of people i like in citation (Asimov, Sagan, etc).

So all the clues and oddities are explained by the ET terraforming of the moon, but its not accepted as its talking about ETs hehe.

We really need a disclosure to be able to move forward in all the scientifics fields imho. :/

And scientists need to stop thinking they hold the holy thruth damn it !

Whether we understand it or not, it's still gravity that locks the moon into it's position and allows the flucuation of the tides here on earth, hardly a cop-out.

If a plane flew upright around the globe, you, me, and the chinese would all see the bottom. The same side.

It is not rotating.

Your airplane analogy, like the "kite", still misses the reality.

It is not rotating.

all you want, you're still wrong. Because, the Moon rotates. Period. Fact.

Using your "airplane" example again, with its belly always pointing towards the Earth's surface.....NOW, using your mind and imagination, travel OUTWARDS from the Earth, into space, where you can "hover" in one place, seing the entire Earth...and with your new "godlike" powers, you can also see the airplane, as it circumnavigates the globe.

When YOU watch the airplane, from that vantage point, how can you imagine the airplane will look?? Remember, YOU are not moving. (AND, let's also play more mind games, and imagine the Earth has stopped rotating, just to make it simple).

Now, let's set everything back into motion, forget the airplane, and move "YOU" so that you can look "down" on the entire Earth/Moon system, and watch the Moon as it orbits the Earth. From that outside perspective, it rotates. Once on its axis, about every 29 Earth days....almost exactly the same amount of time it takes to complete ONE orbit.

It rotates, about its axis. Period. Fact.

IF the Moon did NOT rotate, then different parts of the world would see its differnt sides, ALL sides. Surprised no one has shown you this video, it explains it visually, very well. (There is no sound):

Or, if you like narration, and some (corny, but snappy) music:

Does the Moon rotate?

Does the Moon rotate as it goes around the Earth?

I thought it didn't because it always keeps one face toward Earth! The Moon definitely has to rotate to keep one face toward the Earth. If the Moon didn't rotate, we could see all parts of it as it revolved through its orbit. Get a volunteer to the the Earth for you, and you pretend to be the Moon. Walk in a circle around the Earth, and always keep facing the Earth. Now, what do you see in the background?

You'll see different parts of the room as you go around. This proves that you are rotating.

Now, try walking around the Earth without rotating; that is, always face one wall of your room as you move in a circle. Now, does the Earth only see one face of you? Or can they see all sides of you? You can trade places, and play the Earth while the other person is the Moon, and see what happens!

The striations look like Phobos... The surface of the moon looks goofy also when not done up by NASA

It is rotating, for an outside observer. When a plane flies around the globe, it also makes one rotation around its axis by doing so. Same thing happens with the Moon - it rotates around its axis once every 27 days, the same time it takes it to complete one orbit.

Hope you are joking because if not WHAT has happened to the education system round the world over the last decade or so if this is an example of the system we are doomed!

If you look at this girl:

So this need a bit imagination. If she is the earth and the ball (hammer) is the moon. The chain is the gravity between the earth and moon. The ball isn't rotating as known because his axis is fixed to the girl. But yes, because she is rotating the balls is also rotating synchronized with here rotations because of the forces between them.

If you do something similar your self with a bucket of water, you can feel that the middle point of the axis is between you and the bucket, but not centered to your body.
