Not entirely sure which forum I should have placed this in, so feel free to move it to a more suitable location. (I also didn't already see this posted, if it is I do apologise)

White House seeks to remove Obama

A US analyst says some officials in the White House and the administration are considering legal action to remove Barack Obama from presidency.

"Right now, there is discussion in Washington and within the government of using the 25th amendment to the US Constitution to remove Obama from office," Edward Spannaus from Executive Intelligence Review said in an interview with Press TV on Friday.

The amendment allows for removing the president if he/she has incapacity either physically or mentally.

"In this case, Obama is mentally incapable of fulfilling the office of president," Spannaus went on to say.

Referring to Obama's plummeting popularity, mostly due to the recent economic collapse in the US, Spannaus said, "There is no way that his presidency could be salvaged at this point and it does not really make any difference who wins the congressional elections."

"He was not qualified to be the president in the first place. He was put in there precisely because he would act as a puppet and they knew he would be a puppet for Wall Street, for the London financiers and for the British," Spannaus added.

A recent survey from Gallup has revealed that more than half of American voters would not support the incumbent US president's re-election.

So what do you guys think of this, do you think they will really go ahead and forcefully remove him if he doesn't co-operate and leave on his own accord? Who would replace him? (As this is a new scenario for me).

I'm not a big fan of Obama but if he is mentally incapable of fulfilling his presidential duties how in hell did Bush stay in for so long?

Press TV takes revolutionary steps as the first Iranian international news network, broadcasting in English on a round-the-clock basis.

Our global Tehran-based headquarters is staffed with outstanding Iranian and foreign media professionals.

Press TV is extensively networked with bureaus located in the world's most strategic cities.

www.presstv.ir...

I wouldn't put too much stock in Iranian TV for knowing what goes on in Washington. This is a propaganda site first and foremost.

So no, they aren't going to be kicking Obama out on his butt, he may not be re elected, but they aren't going to kick him out.

Besides the fact that what they are talking about really cannot happen according to the 25th Amendment...

1. In case of the removal of the President from office or of his death or resignation, the Vice President shall become President.

2. Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.

3. Whenever the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that he is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, and until he transmits to them a written declaration to the contrary, such powers and duties shall be discharged by the Vice President as Acting President.

4. Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.

So no, this isn't going to happen the way that Iranian TV is telling you.

Good lord, are the right wingers going to start getting their Anti-Obama bashing talking points from Tehran?

Oh dear Lord, that would put Biden inn office then....would it not?

Or would that negate his choice as a running mate since he was not mentally competent to choose a running mate?

As much as I would love to see the incompetent, puppet boob removed from office I will have to raise the BS flag on this story. Don't think this will be happening.

Be aware... that the replacement will be a puppet too.... They are all on the same team... this is to keep the sheeple happy... same song just another puppet will strand in his place.... its all a game....

We are the losers. America is lllooonnnggg gone. Its too late... too late for us now....(and Obama was not qualified, he has to read a teleprompter... he is just a joke... a lousy pathetic joke played on the American people!)

Won't happen.
Reagan fell asleep during cabinet meetings. He wasn't removed.
Bush 43 was obviously having a breakdown. The last 2 years it was painfully obvious. He wasn't removed.
Obama was promoted over his ability level. A community organizer can't handle being commander in chief of a world superpower, it's true. But 'they' won't get rid of their lil' puppet.

This is interesting. Someone sent me a link last week to an article on IntelHub; they were reporting on this very thing, having pick it up from the WMR.

theintelhub.com...

I am just old enough to remember the hullabaloo over Nixon. So many people seem to think that Nixon resigned only because of the Watergate scandal, but there were very serious concerns over his mental status at the time.

Good find and thanks for posting. Whether or not it's being considered, it is something Americans should know about and monitor.

Seriously? I think the best thing for the recovery of this country would be to remove the entire government....shut it down entirely. When the bloated pig of government is removed, the people would do quite well on their own. Go ahead and flame me for saying this, but I truly believe there would be peace in the world if governments and greedy leaders disappeared.

Ah yes, the anarchist. "government bad, we don't need government"

Tell you what, go over to Africa, visit some of the places where the government has completely collapsed and no longer functions and see how well things work when there is no government in charge. Take a good look at Darfur, take a good look at Somalia. Yea, governments are horrible. These are small countries with no real functioning government. And you want us to live like that?

Technically speaking, Violating the Oath of Office, to protect and uphold the constitution, is an Impeachable Offense.

And I think all presidents since Nixon have been guilty of that.

So, yeah.

That's some spin spun spin I think.

Oh yeah, a lot of people are disappointed in him and NO DOUBT there's folks that want to kick him out - I'm pretty sure that I've even read those exact words in the MSM, BUT...here's the thing....it's going to be by election in 2012.

Others have yayaya'd all term long about the birth certificate thing, but that's not panning out.

I think this is a case of propaganda, or it could be some language thing- IE the writer of the story not really getting the fine nuances of the English language as it is being used, and in hearing folks say "We're going to kick Obama out" and how we are using 'kick him out' .....so I think this - it is true, but it isn't true at all.

I used to have to re-write some technical stuff that was written in Japanese, then translated into English. Sometimes meanings would shift in translation.

See it might be that he won't be elected in 2012, that very well could be. There is no doubt that he is not a popular president. And even his supporters can find a lot of faults with him, so there is a good chance that he might loose the 2012 presidential race.

It's obvious he hasn't been a stellar president and he did not live up to the hype he was given (mostly by the right) So yes, he could very well loose the next election to some Republican. (god help us all)

But when the right wingers are reduced to listening to Iran propaganda in order to make their talking points, it's sad, really sad. What is Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the right wingers buddy now?

I'm not impressed with Obama's legacy but at least I tell all those who so rapidly supported his election in '08 I told you so.

These threads are ridiculous.. In order for someone to even become considered to run for the POTUS, they have to be \"cleared\" by the \"handlers\". POTUS is nothing but a figurehead position. Republicans, Democrats, it doesn\'t matter.

None of them have our best interests at heart, and they both play the game.. The game of pitting us against each other over political ideologies while they quietly slip their hands into our pockets. This president is the same as all the others.. The political establishment is never going to boot Obama out as long as he does what he\'s supposed to do. I don\'t see how people truly believe that if we just got the republicans back in office, everything will be OK. The democrats and republicans are different sides to the same coin, they essentially all answer to the same people.

Very few of our \"leaders\" actually lead because they believe they can do good for mankind.. The majority of these professional politicians are nothing but slick con-men who get into politics to further their own career, power, and wealth.. They truly do not care for the welfare of the people they represent, but only in the advancement of themselves and/or their group.

It\'s a sad state of affairs when the only candidates that get the proper funding, and support are the ones that would slit their mother\'s throat for a nickle. No one seems to care, either, as long as that box in the living room keeps blaring, and there is plenty of useless, overpriced consumer goods to be had at the local strip mall.

You\'re fighting the wrong enemy.. Conservative Vs Liberal, Democrat Vs Republican, Religious Vs Agnostic/Atheist. We\'re ALL human.. We ALL deserve to be able to pursue a life of happiness, but people get too caught up in their own ideologies and pushing that belief onto others, as if it is some absolute truth. The only absolute truth that I\'m aware of is that I exist.. everything else is just bull-dookie.

So was Bush and people still elected him for another 4 years.

You know, it doesn't take much brain power to see what is going on in this nation . . .

8 years of Bush is what is bringing down this nation to the floor, the Obama legacy will not be seen until he is off the presidency and the next president to perpetuate the same old crap will get the blame.

Political candidates do not make a difference anymore in our nations government, but those that are behind the political candidates and parties financing them do.

Right now the chamber of commerce is taking middle eastern countries donations to pay for Republican candidates propaganda, while we know Democrats are pay by unions.

So wake up and see the deceptions, no even Americans will be making the decisions in politics in this nation anymore.

All our political leaders are whores to big interest, and they don't care if that interest means selling this nation to the highest foreign bidder as the supreme court of our nation has sold its soul too.

I highly doubt it would be like that here. The countries you mentioned are run by warlords and gangs who have all the armed weapons in the area. The "government" before it collapsed was probably run by them anyway, or made to do their bidding.

With everyone and their grandmother's in America owning a ton of guns and weapons I highly doubt it would be the same as Somalia or Darfur.

I'm not saying there may not be serious problems, but warlords running over everyone and taking what they want....doubt it.
