US deploys second air carrier in Persian Gulf with 60 warplanes

The United States has posted a second aircraft carrier, the USS Abraham Lincoln, in the Persian Gulf and northern Arabian Sea. The announcement came from the Pentagon Tuesday, Oct. 19, two days after the vessel put into port at Fifth Fleet headquarters in Manama, Bahrain. debkafile's sources note that this is the first time in two years that Washington had deployed two aircraft carriers at same time - not just one - in waters opposite Iran and Afghanistan.

We have seen these carriers coming and going for years - but bets are still in table for Iranian strikes and to accomplish those - Carriers has to be in right positions.

It sure looks like we have calm situation now and warmongers are losing with their aggressive stance - but agenda doesnt forget, its just waiting momentum.

Now we have those carriers back in sceen, lets follow the outcome of this great game - once again...

We see threads like this every year or so, hyping the possibility of war etc etc.. Nothing ever happens and it all turns out to be a bunch of nonsense.

Could it not be, as was the case last time there were 2 Carriers in the Gulf, that one was merely being replaced by the other? For a period, you will have an overlap..

It's getting so that if a cloud floats by iran, it's "sure" sign that a U.S. / Israeli attack is imminent.

i have to agree, it seems every one jumps on to the Irans gonna get attacked now bandwaggon and time after time it does not happen and probaly never will. The sad thing is the next time a fleet goes there into the gulf theres always people there to come out with what they persieve as an imminent attack, i also think that you will need more than 2 fleets to attack iran
