I know that in most crypto circles any and all supernatural attributes of the Sasquatch subjects are greeted harshly. But, let’s be honest, how far fetched are we gonna get when discussing a giant bipedal hairy monster that lives in the woods and never leaves behind physical evidence of it’s existence besides an occasional footprint and sighting? That in and of itself seems a rather supernatural ability since no other woodland critter seems able to pull this feat off with such grace.

I desperately want to believe in Sassy. I have had my fair share of “not sure” encounters and have heard stories from peeps whom I find to be totally trustworthy that have raised the hairs on my arms while hearing them. But I have never been 100% convinced that this is actually a ,living breathing creature like a black bear or fisher cat.

I just finished reading the Skinwalker Ranch book, most of which I found to be highly suspect, and the notion of a Sasquatch as a extranormal entity buzzed up into my head again.

One of the most frequent “symptoms” of a sighting is an overwhelming sense of dreawd most often written off as some deep and forgotten primal instrinct buried within our sunconscious. That all fine and well I guess and more than plausible as an explanation but what if the root is not Iin us but in them? What if this is a creature that has the ability to secrete a pheromone that essentially frightens the crap out of people or predators it deems a threat? It seems to be a rather supernatural power I suppose but it lends itself to biology more so than the critter going all tulpa on us.

For me the biggest obstacle in turning myself over to 100% belief in Sassy has been the inability to have last encounters or pics in an age of cell phones and trail cams. The best way to hide in a world populated by people would really be in plain sight and having the ability to make threats “steer clear” of you whenever proximity became an issue would go along way towards keeping yourself concealed in a world that gets more open every year it seems.

It’s just a wild theory I have had for awhile with no real proof at all but it seems to build a bridge between the “it’s only an undiscovered

I've little doubt in my mind that Sassy exists but everyone has to come to their own conclusions. I haven't seen it myself but my dad and his family spent a lot of time in the northwest US growing up and they've all had shared and individual experiences that leave me to believe.

Regarding to supernatural abilities, the Native Americans often associated Sassy with some sort of magic attributes. It's not hard to understand why, I've heard of people tracking it's footprints only to find them vanish unexplainably (the footprints). I believe it may have been an uncle of mine that once told me he even saw where the tracks had vanished in the middle of a snow covered field.

Yeah I have heard those stories too and they show up in the BFRO database every now and again too when I peruse their sightings. It’s a real head scratcher. Hard to believe hoaxers are out in the middle of nowhere perpetrating such an act that might never be witnessed by anyone. Where is the fun in that? But it’s equally hard to wrap my brain around a Sassy pulling a Nightcrawler and ‘porting himself from one spot to the next.

You're right about it being a head scratcher but I like to think that there may be things that we simply can't explain with our current understanding.

As far as it's prints vanishing, I've heard hypothesis that it could climb trees and possibly even travel from tree to tree. I'm not sure about that myself but if it's closely related enough to primates then I suppose it's possible.

Also on the note of supernatural abilities I neglected to mention that there have also been accounts of it having remarkable speed, so much so that people have reported it running alongside and keeping pace with their vehicles, even when going 40 to 60 mph. I'm not really so sure about that myself but I figured it's worth mentioning.

Yeah IIRC there was a fairly publicized mass sighting in Washington of a Sassy running across a highway and he was keeping up with the cars at a good clip. The tree thing is interesting too. Wasn't there footage from Whitehall, NY that alleged to show a little bigfoot swinging in the trees?

Having seen the critter for myself, and having been profoundly effected, I'm slightly more inclined to give at least a bit of creedance to some sort of supernatural aspect to the creature.

Whether or not there actually is a supernatural aspect to this creature is up to you all to decide. That it's a physical being is, to me anyway, beyond a doubt. Given it's affect on me from a spiritual aspect, that deserves some thought at the very least.

I am, you might say, much less skeptical of that aspect than I was prior...

I find that the supernatural explanation to be quite plausible given the continuing shortage of evidence. But then I belive most ETs fall into the supernatural entity category also.

I have not read the book on Skinwalker ranch.

I also read the Skinwalker Ranch book recently. There were some really interesting claims made and not the first time that a Sasquatch entity has been linked to UFO activity.

As for people feeling dread when they see Sasquatch isn't the current theory that if it were a real animal it may use some sort of infrasound as a defense mechanism? I know that the feeling of dread is a hallmark of many sighting reports.

I believe it was John Keel who came to the conclusion that there were two separate entities. There were sasquatch that behaved like normal animals, but at the same time there were distinctly different reports of larger creatures with glowing eyes that seemed to fall more in line with his definition of an ultraterrestrial. I think he briefly addresses this in The Mothman Prophecies, but a longer discussion is in the out of print Operation Trojan Horse.

Interesting. I had not heardthe theory of two seperate species before but it makes sense as much as anything inolving this type of subject can. There are so many reports of seeing red eyeshine in conjunction with Sassy though so I would imagine it would be quite difficult to sperate the two based on the descriptions given in your general BFRO report.

I have never read that Trojan horse deal you mentioned either. Is it worth tracking down?

I'd say. It's probably one of my favorite books dealing with fringe topics. Unfortunately, last time I checked everywhere online was selling it for around $100.

If I dropped a hundy shells on a book about bigfoot and ufos the only angry red glowing eyes I would be concerned about would be those of my wife.

I have to add my 2¢ worth. I research BF as a real animal. It leaves real evidence - footprints, dermal ridges, hair, DNA, and sound profiles. Therefore it is real.
Does that mean it has to be natural? Jesus was supernatural, but he appeared to us in a natural form for 33 years. Angels appear real, they talked with Abrabam, took Lot by the hand and lead him out of Sodom and one scared Mary with his appreance to annouce she was to have the Christ child.
So, can't they be both?? What about the son's of God - daughters of men controversy. Just those who worship God v. those who prefer a pagan way, or does refer to the mixing of human and angelic genetics? If you check out the attributes of fallen angles, you get a profile that is not unlike a BF. Big, humanoid, smelly, appears/disappears, associated with nonChristian forms of worship, can be helpful or harmful. Could be...

I believe it does exist, for sure. Ive heard it's a creature from Mars and they are... let's put it this way... very shy. If someone were to encounter them they wouldn't come out alive. They have a way of travelling between planets. But hey, there are so many things that happen in this planet and we will never know... Big Foot is just one of the millions...
