327 CIA mind-control victims win cash claims

HUNDREDS of mentally ill patients who were subjected to barbaric CIA-funded brainwashing experiments by a Scottish doctor could be entitled to compensation following a landmark court ruling.
Doctor Ewan Cameron, who became one of the world’s leading psychiatrists, developed techniques used by Nazi scientists to wipe out the existing personalities of people in his care.

Cameron, who graduated from Glasgow University, was recruited by the CIA during the cold war while working at McGill University in Montreal, Canada.

He carried out mind-control experiments using drugs such as '___' on hundreds of patients, but only 77 of them were awarded compensation.

Now a landmark ruling by a Federal Court judge in Montreal will allow more than 250 former patients, whose claims were rejected, to seek compensation.

Gail Kastner, who underwent electroshock treatment at a Montreal psychiatric institute in 1953, and whose claim was rejected 10 years ago, successfully appealed the judgment.

Last week, Alan Stein, of Montreal law firm Stein and Stein, which represented Kastner, confirmed he was in the process of contacting former clients who could now renew their appeal.

“There are about 200 people still due compensation,” he said. “This judgment should send out strong signals to the Canadian government. Those who have previously missed out should have a strong case for appealing.”

Always thought it was funny that the CIA could sell experimenting on Canadians to the president, seeing that they weren't American citizens, it didn't violate their charter forbidding such experiments in the US.

I mean, why bother? If you're going to be drugging and shocking "normal" citizens, that's sort of over the top, innit? You might get away with it on condemned criminals. But on Joe Sixpack? It's sort of mindboggling to say "It's ok - they're Canadian" as an out, you might as well just do what you want with a project like that.

Why would the U.S. Government care about performing these experiments on Canadians when we were already doing experiments like this on U.S. citizens. In 1950 the Navy sprays San Francisco with Serratia Marcescens, 1955 whooping cough epidemic in Tampa Bay caused by the CIA, 1962-1973 Project 112, 1950s-1972 at the Willowbrook State School, mentally ill children are infected with viral hepatitis, 1956-1957 Army biological warfare tests in the south used infected mosquitos, released to see if they would spread yellow fever or dengue fever, Operation Midnight Climax, and many test involving radioactive substances being introduced to pregnant women, mentally ill children, and prisoners. There are still more experiments that happened like these that are known to the public and others that are unknown to the public that have likely happened.

In these cases, where the Agency was involved at all, and in most of the others as well, it wasn't believed that the project could result in any endangerment to people.

Those were mostly 'whoopsie' outcomes, especially the serratia one. Although they almost stopped it when the Brits told them that it was not a good idea.

You do see the Agency doing stuff where the subjects volunteered for it - they did a lot of testing in California prisons, for example, and apparently for a while Agency REMFs were considered fair game for 'surprise testing'. As were military personnel (no surprises there).

However, what they wanted to do with this project was egregiously over the top, not done to volunteers, and not military. So, unable to do it domestically, they got Canada to let us do the dirty to them instead.

At this point, it might be fun to ask "And what testing is being done here by foreign nationals in like kind, maybe as a quid pro quo" but that's for another thread.

Edit: as a sidenote, you have to ask what agency did what where, and what their charter is. The Army can test in the US, CIA cannot, at least not if it might be deleterious, or they might get caught at it.

Looking at your list, the Army has a mission to create and defend against biologicals, the way the AF does lasers and the Navy does exotic propulsion. I guess they put all the slips of paper with stuff on them in a hat and the generals drew them out long ago.

One thing that happens is that the Army does dissemination tests. That's why you see so many of those in the lists of stuff getting released. Sadly, the CIA and the Army have, for some god forsaken reason, close ties. Closer than they have with AF or Navy. And thus you'll also see the agency getting the Army to do their dirty work, when it comes to biologicals, since that's an Army thing.

There's other areas they share goodies in, of late there's a move away from this, hopefully they'll go be buddies with the Marines.

I would say that the CIA works with the Air Force just as much as it does with the army just not so much in the way of research but in intelligence gathering. The CIA used the U-2 spyplane, A-12, & SR-71 to gather intelligence in the Cold War. Now I would imagine they continue to use Air Force technology in the form of UAVs to gather info.

Spoken like a true poet TrueAmerican.. The craziest thing about this is if you told someone that government do mind control experiments on there citizens they would laugh at you. Yet if you showed them this court case they would still find an excuse to justify it and ignore it. True. With the Army they spray germs. The agency has its own internal spyplane program separate from the AF, but they use AF assets too. Heck, the CIA is a prime funder of metamaterial research. All that "invisibility cloak" crap is right out of "other funding", at least it was in the beginning.

They use Army Special Forces to do some of their work as well, they even do a lot of the mission planning over at OMA, but that's grown to be a bone of contention in the last two or three years. Hopefully they'll divorce each other.

It is always surprising to me when the truth comes out at all, but I'm so glad the victims were willing to fight for justice!! But, the offhand way that this scientist, Anna Salamon, admitted to mind control experiments at the 2009 Singularity Summit freaked me out!!!

This is good that there has finally been some justice done to these victims. I remember a long time ago people thought that I was crazy for believing in this stuff. It's true that at that time I used to believe in a lot of conspiracy theories and not use my own rational judgment as to whether I believe something to be true or not... and I was doing some research on mind control and I wanted to know what Mk-Ultra was and the truth behind these things. But, it's good to know that these victims finally got justice. Now the real difficulty is getting out the truth to people which has been suppressed for a really long time.

If you think you're being "gang stalked" by people with mind control beams, you might have some fun reading about James Tilly Matthews - he thought exactly the same thing, only back in about 1800, only instead of VMADS or HAARP, he thought it was a gang of mind control dwarves waving bar magnets around.

He was the first to come up with gang stalking, remote mind control, implants, people in the next room over giving you shocks and more.

"Gang stalking" is so common in paranoid schizophrenia that it's one of the first things the docs ask you when you're being evaluated. Congresscritters are not widely renowned for technical prowess at the best of times, Jim Guest is pandering to the schiz vote. Kucinich was going for it too, but his staff talked him down.

How do you know any of this? Any of your neighbors told you "Hey, I'm on the gubmint payroll to stalk around and look at you!" or, might it be that you see them a lot because...they're your neighbors and live next to you?

And as always, apply the Bedlam "Why bother?" rule - do you know just how much it COSTS for an intel agency to deploy a surveillance team per hour, when you count in loaded labor and equipment amortization? Even for a small operation, you can be talking $10K per hour, easy. I'm pretty sure the guy that repairs copiers that read a book on UFOs at the library or went to a street march isn't going to warrant that sort of thing. And a neighborhood "volunteer watch"? Come on. How many untrained people you know can be in on this before you find out?

Same with the "directed energy weapons" - puh-leeze. Yes, the government is going to tail you around, spending huge amounts of money and tying up resources and personnel to use a microwave oven on you, so that you have aches and pains and confusion. Again i'll state your living in the stone age, back in 2005 you would have had alot of people take your stance but it's not 2005 anymore is it, more and more people have come to relize that this kind of stuff gos on, i noticed you side stepped the issue were the one girl at school and her friends posed as a boy to another girl they didn't like on the net and acted like this so called boy liked her well they put her through hell and she ended up killing her self, it was cyber stalking no way around it also the high school boy who they said had homosexual tendencies and they stalked him on facebook and such and he too ended up killing himself and it's the same kind of thing that happens with organized stalking the people stalking you or if you will keeping tabs on you are doing it for a reason they have been told, the reason being a lie but that's why they do it they think there doing something for a worthy cause when there just being duped, not to mention posters on the website 4chan have been known to track down people and harass them.....add it up.
