It appears to me that this messiah problem was supposed to have been resolved approximately 2000 years ago. Someone apparently triggered this curse of Malachi. And this Jesus Christ fellow gives what appears to be a valid reason why.

The job of Messiah was to be a 2 man job per Malachi and Zechariah. Two of them should be the Branch. But his John the Baptist was killed prematurely. It suddenly became impossible to fulfill the prophesies in the first century AD.

I would pose that the death of Elijah the prophet/John the baptist may have been unexpected and forced your God to create a kludge in order to patch the damage.

Hosea 13
9 O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself; but in me is thine help.
10 I will be thy king: where is any other that may save thee in all thy cities? and thy judges of whom thou saidst, Give me a king and princes?
11 I gave thee a king in mine anger, and took him away in my wrath.

Sorry! I can't take you serious here. Because you present an idea against Jewish beliefs. How is Elijah John the Baptist reincarnated and then later Elijah supposedly appears to Jesus with Moses? That doesn't make sense! I know the Christian Bible against the Hebrew Bible and both don't go hand and hand. Christianity borrows ideas and characters from Judaism. But Christianity is bad pagan plagiarism. Where in the Hebrew Bible does it mention reincarnation? No where! As with my first post here. Jesus and even John the Baptist are no where close to being prophets or the Messiah. Look at what I have been posting and compare!

John the baptist died prematurely. What part of prematurely is hard to understand? He died before his time. He had yet to receive his calling. And when Jesus Christ had received the news of his death then he wasn't bound by those expectations at that point.

He was no longer the branch at that point. And if I got the symbolism right on his fig tree parables right then I could only come up with one conclusion. He was aware of the curse.

You're still not making sense here. Both of those men are gone. They can never, ever achieve the rights to become the Messiah. I could careless who in the past claimed to be the Messiah. If they didn't fulfill what the Messiah was supposed to do and be a descended of David and Solomon then they can't be the Messiah.

The HUMAN Jewish Messiah will accomplish the following prophecies - ALL of them with no "second coming"' * The Sanhedrin will be re-established (Isaiah 1:26) * Once he is King, leaders of other nations will look to him for guidance. (Isaiah 2:4) * The whole world will worship the One God of Israel (Isaiah 2:17) * He will be descended from King David (Isaiah 11:1) via King Solomon (1 Chron. 22:8-10) * The Moshiach will be a man of this world, an observant Jew with "fear of God" (Isaiah 11:2) *****In other words - this must all be accomplished in a human lifetime***** * Evil and tyranny will not be able to stand before his leadership (Isaiah 11:4) * Knowledge of God will fill the world (Isaiah 11:9) * He will include and attract people from all cultures and nations (Isaiah 11:10) * All Israelites will be returned to their homeland (Isaiah 11:12) * Death will be swallowed up forever (Isaiah 25:8) * There will be no more hunger or illness, and death will cease (Isaiah 25:8) * All of the dead will rise again (Isaiah 26:19) * The Jewish people will experience eternal joy and gladness (Isaiah 51:11) * He will be a messenger of peace (Isaiah 52:7) * Nations will end up recognizing the wrongs they did to Israel (Isaiah 52:13-53:5) * The peoples of the world will turn to the Jews for spiritual guidance (Zechariah 8:23) * The ruined cities of Israel will be restored (Ezekiel 16:55) * Weapons of war will be destroyed (Ezekiel 39:9) * The Temple will be rebuilt (Ezekiel 40) resuming many of the suspended mitzvot * He will then perfect the entire world to serve God together (Zephaniah 3:9) * Jews will know the Torah without Study (Jeremiah 31:33) * He will give you all the desires of your heart (Psalms 37:4) * He will take the barren land and make it abundant and fruitful (Isaiah 51:3, Amos 9:13-15, Ezekiel 36:29-30, Isaiah 11:6-9).

Ok. Based on just the old testament only I can make the following points. The messiahs were to show up in the first century AD. Malachi 4 offered 2 possible outcomes to the fate of Elijah the prophet. Who was predicted to be co-messiah. He would succeed or fail at his task. Based on the history of the past 2000 years he failed. And according to Hosea the top level Leviticus 26 curse resulting from his failure was supposed to be 2000 years long.

Meaning when they show up it's going to be God's 2nd attempt at this.

Sorry! Elijah went up into Heaven and will return soon! He will reveal the Messiah. You need to study Judaism and our views then other pagan religions who take Judaism out of contact.

I've always been intrigued by people who are monotheistic and subscribe to one of the major religions.

I hope you don't mind me asking, but why do you reject all the other Gods? Why is Judaism 'correct' in your mind?

You will have your messiah just as long as you agree that the future world divine authority won't be Jewish.

Neither a Christian, or Muslim, or adherent to any other faith. He will be racially ambiguous, have no family/ancestral ties. His only link to the living world will be his duty to God and possibly a couple other important things.

He unites the tribes of the world so this is the way it must be.

Please forgive me for the long time on response but the devil has me busy trying to provide for my family. Every time I get a little ahead something breaks.

But with that said I must say, if you are a Jew by birth or a convert, you to will acknowledge Jesus as Lord and Savior, I do not say this in arrogance. For If "you" believe the Torah or Old Testament is 100% true as I do then we are on the same page on that half, though I Go 1 step further in that I believe that Jesus fulfilled the prophecies of the Torah in his birth, life, death, and resurrection.

As for the Jeconiah curse from the link, here is the answer to that; there are 14 generations between Abraham & David and 14 generations between David and Jesus.

When a curse is upon a Jews family it takes 10 generation before one of their family can be used in service for G-d. A perfect example of this is with the tribe of Judah in sending out spies to search Israel they sent Caleb who was a gentile because of the curse that was upon the family, because Judah slept with his dead sons daughter. David comes from this tribe and was the 1st generation after the curse. Genesis 38

So if the curse be a problem them it would also have to be a problem all the way back to Judah.

Curse or no curse. The Messiah is promised to do many task and no one has never come closed to doing does task. Many people have either claimed or tried to be the Messiah. But they all died or dispersed before so.

Your link claims the curse is one of the factors I have proved it wrong I will show you that misinterpretation of the scripture has lead you to believe that Jesus has fulfilled the prophecies at the time of his life on earth and the other prophecies are being fulfilled in our life time.

Jesus was not a descended of Solomon and he was born of a virgin. Which as well he never did what the Messiah was supposed to do. So if it's all about birth then why call him the Messiah? We shouldn't he never fulfilled the prophecies.

I'm afraid I have been studying your religion for awhile here. And here's the problem. Elijah the prophet came and failed at the job in the first century AD. That triggered the curse of Malachi and a new problem. The process of bringing the Messiah to the world reset. There is a number of events that needed to happen to have them show up in the 1st century. Those events happened in the first 69 weeks of Daniel 9. But if the curse of Malachi was triggered before the start of the 70th week then that would mean the 70th week is a future event. Then the end of the 70th week corresponds with the start of the day of Jezreel. A thousand year event that starts with the end of the curse. When a resurrected David reappears to rule the nation of Israel.

So this means the events of the first 69 weeks have to happen all over again! And they have to happen in or around a period of 7 years. Which would happen at the end of the curse. Sometime in the next 20 years.

And they have already restarted.

Daniel 11-2. Started with the events of the 1979 Iranian hostage crisis and culminated in the 9-11 attacks on New York and Washington DC.

Then over to Daniel 8. The breaking of the horns of the ram match up to the conquering of Afghanistan and Iraq.
For 2500 end of the world prophecy to go 3 for 3 in the past 10 years would tend to make me nervous. The next events predicted? Destruction of Persia. That would be Iran. Then followed by the events of Daniel 11-4. The end of the United States and a number of other countries in the world. Possibly even the event of the Gog Magog destruction.

Then after a couple of years the 7 year agreement of Dan. 9-27 is signed and then the 7 years starts.

And another problem. If this Jesus Christ did exist or a resonable facsimile thereof then you have this problem. His prophesies may be valid. As a denied Messiah he had no obligation to live up to any expectations the Jews had. In fact he wasn't your Messiah. He was your destroyer. Your persecutor. To start the religion that would persecute Judaism for thousands of years. And Islam would be serving the same purpose.

Irrefutable evidence Jesus is the Messiah taken from Daniel Chapter 9.

It's painfully obvious to me that Jesus's curse on the Jewish people is still in effect to this day....

This is an account of the words spoken by Christ when he was sitting on a donkey on the Mount of Olives as He was preparing to ride into the Eastern gate of Jerusalem to be hailed as the Moshiach Nagid by the common people of Jerusalem:

"And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,

Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace!

but now they are hid from thine eyes.

For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,.. (The siege of Jerusalem by the Roman 10th, 12th, and 15th legions beginning in 68 A.D.)

And shall lay thee even with the ground,.. (Jerusalem was destroyed)

and thy children within thee;.. (Some mothers killed their infants for food)

and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another;.. (Every stone of the Temple was cast down for the gold that was in the cracks when the Temple was set ablaze)

because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation."

Luke 19:41-44

Well for me it goes against God to follow Jesus. It doesn't make sense Jesus will be the only one to get the word of God, tell his apostles or disciples, then have them preach different versions what Jesus told them.
